ima casual fan and this weekend i decided to stream lana's discography. i love melancholy music so it only makes sense.

spotify needa put her debut on streaming plats. or was that a normal thing for her? :skull:

 

i had to go to youtube but i do recall enjoying pawn shop, yayo, kill, and gas station.

its an unreleased album. it was out for like two months in 2010 but then she signed to Interscope who bought her out of the 5 Points Records contract.

Lana's owned the rights since then and has talked about releasing the album multiple times over the years and has eluded to releasing a few of the songs as well separately from the album

This is such a fascinating interview all the way around, but listen to 1:26:30 when she is asked about Black Beauty and begins crying reflecting on that time period...not being able to see the beauty in the world. It makes sense why she's so unwilling to talk much about/reflect on that era in interviews.
