Cher didn’t make it to the taping. Might be flight issues. It’s unknown if she will be at the second taping or tape at all

Terrible luck with her on the show lol. Last time it was cuz Kelly had Covid and Cher was alone in studio LOL

The “When chemistry Comes Around” EP has seemingly helped the chemistry songs on it go up around 1.5-3k compared to the day before - similar to christmastry at the start but a tiny bit less.

day before release v (day of release increase)

lighthouse - +10,492 (+12,106)

mine - +40,407 (+43,912)

comparison to christmastry on its release day

iwgu - +3,428 (+6,988)

fkoh - +21,345 (+25,157)

magic - +4,785 (+7,581)

so christmastry had a little bit bigger of a first day impact - not surprised given title including “Christmas” and it pops up high on Spotify if you type in “Kelly Clarkson Christmas”. So I suppose if they do do another one, hopefully it has some key search words it its title like: tree, santa, Christmas etc :)

The Christmas songs, are, however, having a nice bump this season! If this trend continues, let’s say an average of 2k more streams per day for chemistry songs, that works out at:

christmastry songs:

22/11 - 25/12 = 33 days

3 songs x 2,000 x 33 = 198,000

wcca songs:

06/12 - 25/12 = 19 days

2 songs x 2,000 x 19 = 76,000

198,000 + 76,000 = 274,000

So overall, for this season, that is a bit of an impact, and it’ll likely be larger updates closer to Christmas - and it’ll probably continue to impact next season.

Random thought, but when I was in the gym earlier, I was listening to my favourite tracks from chemistry (down to you and rock Hudson) , and although they hit as I love them, I did feel like they would’ve hit harder as remixes - a little bit faster.

Remember when we got PBP remixed, it was a good idea, maybe not the best executed in terms of collaborations. I think a remixed (or better: reimagined) chemistry could be a fun project to do. That could get her with new listeners and give a new lease of life to the songs depending on how good / imaginative the remixes are.

She's a ******* superstar!!! I think she's realizing what a smash this song is, and she may go hard next year!!! At last, I hope.

I guess as well it’s 10 years since release so in theory she could put out another version of it - aka live at the Opry :gaycat4:  Jk haha

But yeah, she must be realising it’s on a real upward trajectory every year. Her most streamed song on Spotify last year and will be this year, easily too! If there is a campaign like Mariah and Brenda had it’ll continue to grow harder each year.

Both performances were amazing last night. Those runs ans riffs in SCICTT! It also really seems like she's finally accepting UTT as the Christmas smash it is. The energy she's had performing it lately has been hitting different.

Looking at the extra days in vegas, the February ones are much better sold than the two in December. Do many people do concerts in vegas on NYE? Think they might have given those two dates a bit short notice for such an expensive set of days :dancehall:

Wrapped in Red album should re-enter top 50 at #46 on Billboard 200 per HitsDailyDouble with about 21,561 sales. I wish RCA would have more physical albums in stores like other classic albums (buble, Mariah, peanuts soundtrack) especially that album on vinyl. Such a missed opportunity as you can see the others are selling double cuz of physical.

Same with Atlantic for WCCA. All Stores I’ve been to don’t have the album besides seeing one copy at a local record store and one copy at Barns & Nobles.

Uk always was kind to her in the charts pre LSS, I hope she does do some performances at some point there

Is it true that the lighting person from the LA studio didn’t transfer to New York? Cause the lighting on the kellyokes has been falling SO flat for me this season, which is a shame cause she sounds amazing

Apparently, SCYHM wasn't her only certification update in the UK today. Stronger is now 2x Platinum there. Her 3rd single to reach that mark.

Oh damn. UTT could go top 10 in the UK this year. Ugh I wish that could happen in the US this year. It’s like edging basically haha. Maybe if Kelly’s team did something to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the song, it could’ve had a stronger chance to get to the top 10.

Correct.

Doing a quick round up, with yesterday's certification update, Kelly stands at 9,060,000 records certified in the UK.

I am finally going to a taping of her show the week after next, y’all! :weeps:

Kind of bummed at my poor planning though. I should have done it this past week or next to have any hope of a Christmas Kellyoke and the set decorated for the holidays. But it’s ok. I’m still pumped.

Has anyone here been to a NY taping yet? I know the ticket says when we can line up etc but wondering if anyone has any tips. I think I read someone say the middle of the line is better because they start filling the studio from the back. Not sure if that’s true. I just don’t want to be too far back and risk not getting in.

Appreciate anyone’s input!

I went a few weeks ago. My ticket said to arrive no sooner than 1pm. I came at 12:59, walked right in, and got in a relatively long line, but as I waited, about 50+ more people were behind me. I'm not entirely sure if anyone was turned away.
