Yeah I saw some videos on Twitter I wonder what for.

Maybe Atlas promo ? I saw some adds on Parisian Subway promoting the movie.

I feel like she doesn't rest, she is over exposed since the album release, she lost a lot of weight, I hope she is well with all the hate she has been receiving...

She's probably fine. I actually feel like this is her break / rest. She's with her manager and one of her best girlfriends. Even her kid came with her. Let's hope she enjoys the downtime

Yeah she really needs to slow down. Her MetGala appearance this year was off. She looked so unhappy, exhausted and unhealthy. As a long time fan it broke my heart. The hate train that's been going on against her has really blown out of proportion and shows no sign of stopping. I know that she's strong but still human at the end of the day and I wouldn't be surprised if unfortunately it got to her and is starting to take a toll on her.

Besides Atlas promo and rehearsals for the tour she should honestly take it easy. This is probably the first time in a very long time I'm actually concerned for her.

This article is ******* wild. Not them straight up admitting to riding her d*ck for clicks. They have been the main publication trashing her since early this year when the era began

Quote

Variety pursued the reports of J. Lo's poor ticket sales aggressively, not for reasons of schadenfreude but because such stories are important in our corner of the media world, and it's a sad fact of our business that bad news gets a lot more clicks than good news. Her fans swarmed on us, which comes with the turf, but the stories were hugely successful. As it does every time schadenfreude piles up on a female public figure, I was reminded of something: During the heyday of Lena Dunham's TV series "Girls," there was a video meme — or whatever passed for a meme in 2012 — of young women making comical, snarky opinions about show, with one of them saying, "I've never seen it… but I think I don't like it."

It was a joke, but still, that statement seems like a sadly perfect distillation of the amount of thought, let alone logic, that goes into the kind of hateration that J. Lo and so many other female public figures are receiving right now. It's also not hard to imagine that syndrome playing a major role in many other successful women being "cut down to size," not least the defeat of Hillary Clinton by her unapologetically misogynist opponent in 2016.

J. Lo is a great artist and she will be fine, and she's clearly tough enough to weather all of this. But why should she have to? There's obviously more going on here than just a canceled tour, and it does make one wonder whether the guilty pleasure of schadenfreude and our role in furthering it is a problem that goes beyond a few "harmless" clicks.

Hi, @mons†er. The thread got closed, but wanted to respond to your comments:

I think it's the first nice thing she's ever done in the name of Mariah. That's to be appreciated instead of rehashing what we have all known for years.

This is not the first nice thing she's done related to Mariah. She's also included Mariah's song in promo playlists before and praised songs AIWFCIY (even sang it in a IG reel).

I'm unsure since I don't keep up with her. I do think this whole debacle could be squashed if J.Lo just admitted to being a pawn against Mariah and quit trying to paint this delusional narrative that she didn't know what was going on.

She's never painted any "delusional narrative" or any narrative at all. She's never actually commented on the Tommy situation.

As for being used as "a pawn against Mariah," that's fan fiction. She was another artist on the same label and the label head (and other executives like Cory Rooney) recycled Mariah's ideas (a sample she wanted and the idea of a back-and-forth duet with Ja Rule) for another artist. This is the the norm on any major music label and highly doubt J.Lo knew that Mariah specifically wanted the Firecracker sample and that she recorded a duet with Ja Rule herself for Glitter. It would be delusional to believe she insider information and was the one requesting these things or knowing they were ideas Mariah had first. It's also not some conspiracy to clear the same sample or duet with another artist.

Finally,, J.Lo wasn't the only one who was recipient of recycled Mariah ideas (see: Jessica Simpson, Angela Via, Faith Hill). Mariah herself was the recipient of recycled ideas (see: plagiarism lawsuits where composers of melodies she used weren't credited). Should we blame those things on her? I highly doubt Mariah knew that melodies and samples suggested to her were from other songs made by other people. It's weird that you'd expect one person to know all the behind-the-scenes details, but not the other.

There was no reason to respond to my comment of the thread was closed. There was also no reason to continue the conversation in her base of all places. I'm pretty sure other Jennifer Lopez fans and stan's are gonna look and say 'why did this person bring this conversation here?'

Please stop quoting me and leave me alone you delusional looney tune.

Ok i need the biggest JLO Stan's help please.

Do we have any studio version (even if it's unofficial / leaked) as long as it's HQ of Can't Get Enough? I'm looking for the remix on which she did that dance challenge with the girl - the one she performed at SNL with Redman… ? I don't even know if that's one remix or two different but they used that same « crazy » instrumental that I love.

i believe someone said it aired on a podcast / radio once but guys I want it on my iPhone so if anyone has a studio version that could travel to my PM box (DL link…) that would be lovely. I can ask right? As it's not something that was not released and not available on streaming platforms?

thanks for your help

How am I the "delusional looney tune" when all I've presented facts while your quoted message was fan fiction got easily debunked in the other thread? :skull:

It is completely appropriate to continue the conversation in Jennifer Lopez's base thread since the topic was about her and my response was about your misinformation. And no, I doubt any of the woman's stans would find that I gave you a fact check. No surprise you couldn't address any of your fan fiction.
