The fact that he outdid Harry WW is extremely impressive. Even if it plummets from here, there's clearly an audience for him.

Now the million dollar question is how much it falls tomorrow. It's gotten mixed reviews online but that's not always indicative of chart success.

I was hyped for this but the verses could’ve been better & the structure falls flat. I wouldn’t be mad if this becomes a smash cause the chorus/sample are 10/10. But let’s wait & see

I don't see this having really good longevity esp since I've seen alot of people complaining about how the sample carries the song, etc, etc.

Um yeah? I don’t know what you’re trying to say. As It Was is the biggest smash of the year and Harry’s celebrity is FAR bigger than Jack’s. The fact that Jack was able to outdo Harry for a day WW is impressive when I wasn’t even certain this would debut #1 in the US. AIW’s streams are still incredibly strong even after a week.

 

I think we both can agree it’s nice to see two artists smashing at once when the charts have been so abysmal lol
