good for him and i like the song but i also just checked the streams of his album and they are pretty terrible besides the singles :rip:

6/14 songs below 30m streams
10/14 songs below 50m streams :rip:
the 3rd single hasn't even cracked 150m streams :rip:

not saying he isn't successful anymore but this era definitely is not nearly as big as even that collabs album, let alone a previous studio album of his.

this is what happens when tries to chase a hit and ignore his core fanbase (the AC crowd who love ballad)

Massive radio, massive playlisting, 1 month long tiktok campaign before it dropped and hundreds of interviews and performances starting from before it was released. Bad habits should be bigger than Stay with the amount of promo it got.

This song sucks and made 0 impact and will be forgotten soon, it can have 2B streams and it still did nothing for Ed Sheeran as an artist or for his career, it's a basic and generic background music at best.

This.

The rest of the album has terrible stats, he really declined.

I remember Little Monsters initially saying Stupid Love was bigger, so I’m surprised to see this. Talent and quality won I guess

:ahh:

GP appeal, literally a basic yet so effective catchy pop song that has clicked with every demographic. Especially adults love it.
