Wait. You haven't touched Never Say Never or Two Eleven. Then you better get started. Hell, start with the Debut!

I decided to go with NSN since I already know a couple of songs.  Some thoughts:

  • She came out SWINGING on those first 8 tracks. :jonny:
  • NSN's highs are better than Full Moon's, but Full Moon's ballads >>>
  • I don't care for Bryan Adams and straight-up hate Diane Warren, but I ended up quite liking Have Your Ever? and Everything I Do. Brandy's vocals really improve those two compositions.
  • One Voice... I'm gonna pass on that one. :rip:
  • LOVE the harmonies on Put That on Everything.

Overall, I still prefer Full Moon, but this is a pretty good album too.

Alright. I can accept that. I'll admit Full Moon's ballads edge out NSN's a bit.

One Voice though? :'(

What did you think of Tomorrow?

Gorgeous track. Should've been the closer. The vocals towards the end >>>

Absolutely!!! Although, I sort of flip flop. Tomorrow is that power ballad that deserves to end it. Though Everything I Do makes sense to end cuz it sounds like it.

Wow, I love Brandy so much. I discovered Full Moon last year and was obsessed with it. Now I listened to the album 'Brandy' and wow.. What a voice. Afrodisiac is THAT SONG. Timbarland basically reused so much stuff from this album on Justin Timberlake it's funny. There's a song with the exact same beat as Comes Around. Anyways, Brandy forever

I love Baby so I'll start with the first album

Just curious. The song that you hear the same beat on Comes Around, would that be Focus or Come As You Are?

I can't wait til you touch on Never Say Never and Two Eleven!

It's funny because both of them sound like something JT released later on, but I think in this case Focus is the one I was referring to! Another side note I got to add is I simply love how Timberland used those "baby voice" chop ups on Afrodisiac like he had previously used with Aaliyah. I really can't get enough.

Never Say Never is up next for me!! I read somewhere how Full Moon, NSN and Brandy were her top 3 albums so I'm trying to get into these 3 before diving into her whole discography. :ducky:

EDIT: I got confused, and the album I've been listening to right now is Afrodisiac lol

Why is Human & 2–11 so disrespected with stans. I think both albums are amazing & up there with Never Say Never!

I just wish she released more singles from her projects. This two singles only thing she’s been doing since Full Moon :deadbanana2:

All this Diddy talk got me revisiting this BOP. :jonny: Should've been a single.

Been waiting on one of y'all to start this thread since they hijacked mine when the Old board left

Honestly.. While they're both good albums, they both have very few BRANDY-esque tracks. They're kind of soul less and mostly have songs that could go on several other albums out at the time Though I put 2/11 as her 4th best & Human above B7. For me:

Full Moon

Afrodisiac

NSN

2/11

Brandy

Human

B7

It would have been a great final single.

I am absolutely loving the new Christmas and glad that Motown is behind her. Hopefully promotion goes further than Twitter and Instagram, even though this is a Christmas album.

I usually don't like Christmas songs that lean more so to R&B so heavily, but I love this song.

This album is so underrated. I absolutely love Wildest Dreams, definitely one of her best singles. Not Such Thing As Too Late, Without You, Scared Of Beautiful are really strong. When it was released my faves were Do You Know What You Have, Can You Hear Me Now and What You Need, though.
