Not even Best Pop Vocal Album award for 30? They must be joking. But I think we took the losses really well as a fandom. And Adele herself took it well. 1

Aslan Posted February 6 Posted February 6 The way I feel A would be the only other artist to cross over a billion if she decided to do a full stadium run for her shows next era.

If there's enough Swifties in the world to give her a billion dollars in ticket sales gross, then imagine what Adele could do with her mass appeal to older audience. The daily Spotify numbers don't reflect how most people 30+ in age consume music. For example, look at Coldplay with their touring success in spite not having a big hit in many years. And Elton John even more... and U2... etc. And while Ed Sheeran's Spotify numbers are slowing down, his touring stats remain strong still. And think about Munich for Adele, if the average ticket price is 100 euros and it's 80k of them sold each night, that's 8 million euros gross per night or 8.6M USD. And it could be even more, we don't know the ticket prices yet. We will see tomorrow. Adele really could make a billion dollars gross from "just" 100 stadium shows, like how she made $10M per night at Wembley in 2017.
