The only thing that could potentially work would be an eyeliner kit or haircare since they’re the only two defining things about her when it comes to beauty.

If you scroll down, it says "specialized design activities"

https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/15267585

so i wonder if it could be furniture/home decor, rather

either way, otherwise i don't care, but if this takes away her focus from music, then yeah, i don't like that

It’s crazy because years ago she said that doing things outside of music would “dilute her art”

I checked the SIC code and put it into google and it says nothing about cosmetics?

these are the things listed for that SIC code

List of activities classified inside the UK SIC Code 74100

Boot and shoe designing

Lace designing

Jewellery designing

Interior designers

Interior decorator activities

Interior decor design

Graphic designer

Furniture designing

Fashion designing

Costume designing

Clothes designer

Calico printers designing

Textile or wallpaper printing designing

so what’s the truth :suburban:

the SIC code for beauty is completely different?

so have dailyfail just purposely put out misinformation?

Are we just reading too much it into this?

maybe she wants to start to manufacturing her own designs rather then using 3rd party so she can keep more profit?
hmmm I guess we will find out :suburban:

That Company data website is the official UK government site, so it must be real.

The makeup "news" started from The Mirror. This really could be just an extensions to Adele's merchandise line.

Yeah I’m thinking that too now.

Oh yeah. I also just looked at the codes from that website, and they've got different codes for cosmetics. And Ellie thinks it's merch related too.

It really sucks that these British tabloids keep writing fake articles about Adele.

it will sadly only continue if her team/ PR don’t directly deny them from jump.
Like why hire a publicist if they don’t protect you from slander/lies?

these publications reach out for comment but nothing.

I guess their thinking is that it's better not to give these rumors any more attention by denying or responding to them. Maybe they think that people just forget about it and move on, which is probably true in most cases. But IIRC there's been at least two times that Adele's taken The Sun to court, and won. So she deffo reads most things/everything they write about her, but chooses not to respond.

But that was pre 30 era?
Publications dragged her name through the dirt during the residency drama and not one comment, not one lawsuit.
like where was that energy when they said she was seen out with Chris brown?
something as minuscule as that and they got the lawyers in but when they were saying she was being a massive diva etc…mute.

I just wish her publicist was consistent.

They did sue over the Chris Brown story. And The Sun issued an apology and paid her damages. Here: https://www.thesun.co.uk/clarifications/13468893/adele-an-apology/amp/

Or did you mean that they should have sued over more stories? Sorry if I misunderstood you. Maybe they just thought that was a particularly bad rumor to spread around because of what kinda reputation Chris has.

But yes, the Vegas opinions in the press were unhinged. Although I tried not to read any of them. I went offline for a while then. And yes, otherwise too, I think the people at Daily Mail have written several columns over they years that could be seen as defamation by the courts. Like that one where Piers Morgan said Adele's using her son's pain to sell the album (30), when in fact the whole album is an apology to Angelo. That was disgusting.

And the comments section on Daily Mail is often so toxic. Idk if they are bots or what, but they sound so bitter and miserable.

I haven't played the album in full since last year, I think, but I still enjoy many songs from it.

It hasn't aged to me at all, when I listen to it, it still sounds as good and fresh as when I first heard it (I feel the same about her other albums, her music has that timeless feel to it). But it's definitely not the kind of album that I would listen to on repeat, I need to be in a certain mood to play it.

  1. Cry Your Heart Out
  2. I Drink Wine
  3. All Night Parking
  4. Easy on Me
  5. To Be Loved
  6. Strangers by Nature
  7. Love is a Game
  8. Oh My God
  9. Woman Like Me
  10. My Little Love
  11. Hold On
  12. Come and Get It (I just can't with this one, the whistles are so annoying)

I hate the bonus tracks so I won't even bother. :skull: Compared to my original ranking, I Drink Wine, and to a lesser extent, Oh My God both grew on me with time. I still love my Top 8 very much, the rest... well, it depends on my mood.

Haha, it's Can I get it. It's a divisive song apparently.

How would you rank Adele's albums so far, all of them?

I agree about 30 being an album for a "certain mood." I think 25 is easier to just press play on and enjoy.

My albums ranking would be :

  1. 21 : It's probably my most played album ever so it will always have a special place in my heart. It's also her most cohesive project. Most of the songs are 10/10.
  2. 30 : Her most ambitious album sonically and her deepest and heaviest one thematically (I still remember how To Be Loved CRUSHED me :skull:). It's kind of refreshing to see Adele step out of her comfort zone and explore new sounds.
  3. 19 : It took me quite a long time to get into it but it has some of her best songs, including her best song (Hometown Glory).
  4. 25 : I like listening to it but the songs feel too impersonal. As Adele is a very private person, the only way to know about her and her life is through her music and 25 feels too "light" in that aspect.

Speaking of Can The GP Get It, this song kinda came for it sonically and ate it up hard :giraffe:

Oh wow, thanks for sharing that! Adele would DEVOUR a song like that with her belting. And her and Paloma are friends IRL, so I'd imagine they share similar interests in music.

I'd love Adele's next lead single to show a different side of her. Easy on me is beautiful, but she was pushing her luck by releasing yet another ballad.

25 is the label's album, most if not all of the songs are GP friendly, middle of the road, and surely will make the biggest ballad if given to any other singer

that album is more commercial than the epic 21
