I honestly consider her more a rap girl than Pop girl, despite “Say So” being her breakout.  
 

She’s always presented herself as a rapper first…ever since her first interview.  But I guess it all depends on when you found out about her. 
 

THANK GOD she did dabble in Pop early on.  Because the “scandal” might’ve ended her career (unjustly, at that).

Well I consider her a MPG since she is in direct completion with Dua and Olivia with her pop songs (Say So / KMM) 

And a main rap girl since her rap hits (NTK, Ain't ****) are also giving the rap girls a run for their money.

 

And let's not forget she's also giving the RnB girls a run for their money as well with Streets and You Right being some of the biggest female R&B songs in recent years.
