Surprised Emo Girl didnt kill his career, he has a niche fanbase definitely. This wont have longevity I dont think

?

When he was doing Hip Hop, he was niche:rip::mandown:

Maybe it's different now since he changed genres

People complaining about him being shoved down our throats, wth? He just had a very big hit loved by GP, other than that he hasn't recevied too much promo.

Why none of the MPG is releasing something, #1 is so week right now, they can be #1 for weeks.

Yesssss. He promised a rap album by the end of summer if this goes #1!

Haters just like to talk ****.

As a massive mgk stan emo girl is his worst most cringe single to date. Besides the one he did with corpse. But every other track makes up for it :worship:

Its like a tickets mix hotel disablo thos album. Why I love it slightly more. Hope numbers are going slightly higher

This new rock persona is so forced.

Shocked he’s doing so well given the streaming numbers didn’t seem that good. He’s come so far, really proud of him :clap3:

time to stream Bad Things in celebration @usedtothis @Bentley

I guess Encanto will have to settle for 9 weeks at #1 then :weeps:

Posted

somehow he keeps winning and those poor and pressed souls can't STAND it :clap3:

With reason Avril is an opener act for him

Posted

Why the surprise of some of you?

All of his past studio albums are certified at least gold and he has cultivated a fanbase over his 10 year career

MGK had a very loyal fanbase in rap. Was definitely not niche unless selling 50k first week and selling out 5k capacity venues is considered niche. Almost all his albums are at least Gold too

He has a fanbase but the Hip Hop GP never really fucked with his music.

All his albums prior to Ticket To My Downfall spent 20 weeks or less on the Billboard 200.

Looks like he's bigger now since he switched genres. I didnt know Tickets To My Downfall spent 77 weeks on the charts, that's good.

A MAINSTREAM TOP 20

As many as eight new releases could finish in the Top 20 this week, with Bad Boy/Interscope’s Machine Gun Kelly leading the way. His mainstream sellout is projected to do close to 95k its first week, split almost evenly between sales and streams.

Alamo/SME’s Lil Durk remains at #2 with 7220, and Olivia Rodrigo's SOUR (Geffen) leaps back into the Top 5 just days ahead of Music’s Biggest Night. Meanwhile, Republic could have six entries in the Top 15, including debuts by Daddy Yankee and Nigo.

Now if you don’t mind, we must return to bulk-ordering snacks on Amazon Fresh for Sunday night's Grammys.
