Protocol Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 Heavily carried by Brazil, it needs a remix with Drake to blow up in US
allforyou Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 I remember listening to her like 6 years ago before she even did spanish music, never expected her to become this huge Congratulations to her though
Guilherme Make Love Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 The fummes here lol Most of these basic white artists get #1 on spotify without trully being a big hit outside of US / Europe and still everyone call it a global smash... now suddenly this is a problem, yeah sure The obvious fact is that at this point, despite being very cool to be listened and liked in US / Europe too, latin and asian artists doesn´t even need english speakers countries to make impact on global charts, we exist and we are huge no matter what anybody thinks, this is a reality on youtube and it´s starting on spotify too. OT: Congrats to our queen, very proud of being brazilian today, she made a revolution in pop music here the last decade and is a delight seeing her succesfully becoming popular on foreign countries now
Capruni Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 (edited) I’m so happy for my native gurl Anitta. She just made history today! The first latin artist to achieve a number #1 solo on Global Spotify. She deserved it so much, cuz she’s fighting to breaking out the internacional music marketing for years and now she got it. Also brazilian people are very proud of her. Congrats, Girl From Rio! You got it! Edited March 25, 2022 by Capruni

Relampago. Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 Why are people rushing in here to discredit her? This is amazing for her and Brazil as well! Their power and dedication is amazing Also, the girls trying to say most of the streams come from Brazil wouldn’t say that about many artists who’s streams primarily come from the US. So hush. The song is a bop and the video is

It's never really an issue they couldn't get in the TOP100 of most countries from Latin America, Africa and Asia. The Global South no longer needs to rely on breaking in western markets to be a part of the conversation and it upsets them. OT: Fun fact - Envolver made it to Mexico's T5 before it even reached the T10 in Brazil. Yes Anitta, Yes GLOBAL. preach it to those xenophobics
