It's honestly not funny. You don't wait 8 months to release a follow up only to literally freefall put the top 200 after 24 hours.

Normani has wasted too much time and I'm honestly not sure what she should do at this point. You don't get second chances as a woman, especially black. Just wow.

the fear is that a lot of the gassing on the internet has made her and her team think she's the sh*t :deadbanana4: im not saying im sure but with the way she talks about herself im afraid she could be surrounded by yes men that are allowing her to just... coast off of her internet fame.

If her team is smart they'll be releasing the real crossover hit in 3-4 weeks with a full video and rollout.

Ideally it'll build on radio through the spring and set her up for potential summer smash & album.

She’s clearly surrounded by yes men. She literally reposted a fan saying her Spotify numbers are good. The way she feeds into lies and I’m sure she asked someone on her team if they were good before she reposted. It’s insane.

if this was mid2010s taylor-ariana/katy's team they would've been BERATING and SCRAMBLING her for promo spots left and right. the fact that her manager was PRESSURING her to get up her ass and postpone a date or two of her TD tour for E.T. peaking at #10 in idfk was it Ireland?

Normani's team is just filled with enablers, the worst part is skills wise she is MILES above every popgirl in the game right now. The only popgirl whose talent is probably above her who's semi-active rn is Ariana and its mainly her vocals, Normani is a BEAST on stage. She just probably is filled with yes men :(

Her time to strike was 2019.  People just don’t care anymore.

Ot:Tragic numbers for her where is the success stans that running into Camila threads?

What was off-topic? I didn't know you were not commenting here. :toofunny3: My fave is working hard to have her show ready before she makes the new dates public - confirmed by herself.

She doesn't have to be an opener for any other act like some that don't even have dates on their own to worry about. :rip:

Back on topic, I was right about some base coming here to celebrate Normani's underperformance. Karma didn't teach 'em anything.

I think that's what hurt her the most imo. When you have that amount of hype from the industry's A-listers, twitter stans hyping you up as the next big thing, Rolling Stone claims you're the future of music (and all of that without really doing the work) it has to get into your head. You're thinking you really can release a single every couple of months with no signs of an album and everyone will eat it up. What the hell is up with her team that they don't see it. They're wasting her talent and potential.

This was I think what happened to Beyonce too when her first single came out, there was a lot of hype and discussion about her work and how she would be the next biggest thing and she was, but not for a lack of trying. She took the pressure and the expectation and worked her ass off pandering to all the markets that would embrace her music and did a sh*t ton of collaborations and promo spots on MTV even for the stupidest sh*t, 2000s Bey was never above anything and was willing to throw down and put her name out there, even that prank show where she ended up f*cking up an NYC christmas tree :deadbanana4:

More importantly though…Bey was willing to take risks with her music. “Crazy in Love” wasn’t like anything we’ve heard before.  Honestly, I hated when I first heard it

:ahh:

But that’s just because it was so different than what I expected from her.  I need THAT from Normani.

Slight tangent….It kills me how when N said “Motivation” added some horns on the track, people automatically said her CIL is coming.    Only to find out that the horns added nothing to the song :rip:

I knew Normani's team was sh*t when Cardi was promoting Wild Side on Twitter more than Normani and her team were.

I don't even know what to say :deadbanana4: if she doesn't release an album this year that's just sad. Wild Side was a really great track that could've launched possibly an ok album cycle. This song isn't bad and would be fine if it was a song going towards something but if she has nothing else ready good luck.

I was told her album is coming this summer

A hole ass mess

Not the "STILL OUT" in the title. She's had YEARS to build a decent fanbase and build her own solo music portfolio, but she chose not doing it so it's her own fault :gaycat6:

Her time was really during Motivation. They could have capitalized on her hype which was huge then.

She is no longer a new artist and should have realeased at least one album by now.

She basically had three launches already, Motivation, Waves (whatever came first) and Wild Side. There’s just too many launches that you can do.
