Dangerous: The Double Album (Bonus) was released about a month after Dangerous: The Double Album. Olivia is rumored to be dropping SOUR (Deluxe) at some point, too.

My point is that any of these artists can easily have the biggest album released in 2021 if they just put out another version of their album.

Having a bonus track version or deluxe version of the album is standard practice. Dangerous had 3 bonus tracks. So did Adele's 30 on her deluxe version. Planet Her had 4/5 extra tracks. Also nothing extraordinary.

SOUR doesn't have any deluxe version. "Rumoured to be dropping" is a weird angle to take here. First of all, she already said there won't be one, and second of all, she smashed harder than anyone already with just 11 tracks and without any deluxes.

CLB has no deluxes either. And they are all bigger than 30.

I saw this coming the moment the album fizzled out after the holiday season, just didn't expect to happen this soon but I guess Adele and Columbia lazy asses don't care anymore.

That's what happens to most artists when they don't promote their work :oh:

El mundo se llena de '30's, previsiblemente ante la llegada de lo nuevo de Adele - Odi O'Malley

That was 5 months ago already. It helped with the first week but that kind of promo doesn't keep the album afloat for long

The bottom line is that Red is a fantastic album that has lasted 10 years while 30 is extremely boring and won’t even last 10 months on peoples minds. Sorry not sorry.

Yeah, 30 is aging very quickly. Idk why Red TV is this stable while Fearless TV was #150+ on billboard 200 in its 17th week.

Lazy queen Adele, you better promote this album at Grammys, I Heart and other shows. Or just release mv for "To be loved".

100 less sales but still outsold by 1M+?

This is a new low even for the Swifties :deadbanana2:

nnnn

Certain Adelizers would say that's not promo since no one taped any cat hair to the monuments under the projection :gaycat6:

Honestly why the hell people keep saying that 30 has no promo when in reality EOM and OMG still on TTH, heavily played on radio and she did perform IDW at the Brits :rip:

Both songs are at #25 and #32. I believe that #32 looks questionable without any money involved, but #25 for EOM is totally believable.

And we're talking about the US here. She does way LESS promo this time round as compared to 25.

Less than 25 indeed but it doesn't mean the promo is non-existent like some people claimed here. Brit is huge event and her live perfomance always do a great job in boosting her albums/songs and even trending in the USA but somehow it barely works this time. Not to mention, her songs are still heavily spammed on radio.

i think the only thing that's flopping here is OMG. EOM was spammed but the outcome was excellent:  cleared 3/4 of 1B on Spotify, #1 for 10 weeks.

The only time that her Brits performance did anything was her break-out performance of SLY, and that's an anomaly.

With that said, i think the main reason here is that the album is not stream-friendly enough. The content is deeply personal and the tracks are long. As a fan, i hardly loop To Be Loved, My Little Love because they're too heavy. I think IDW may do something in the states since she still has that one MV yet to be released.

It is what she deserves for not promoting/working hard this time around. She probably believes she doesn’t need to promote because she’s famous enough to have her name sell her work - yeah, she might be right, but she hadn’t released in six years and all she gave us was promo during release week and all the drama for canceling her shows in Vegas.

Both songs you're mentioning are done, I am dragging them for not pushing the next single and the Vegas fiasco, the latter would've helped her a lot with stability.

Also the last time a Brit performance had some effect on her career out of UK was SLY and that was because she was novelty, her performance of WWWY did nothing for the song in the states so take a guess what IDW did this time...

The way her "stans" from months ago are nowhere to be found now :dies:

Anyways, 30 is a good album but not good enough to stand on its own. She needs to promote and do something. She's no longer the untouchable Adele who smashes with every breath, and that's kinda a good thing for her imo.

those people saying "she did promo performing at The Brits" when we are talking about the US chart... are they trolling or their brain doesnt reach any further? I mean...

And we can keep talking about it, but... having only 12 songs and half of them being +5min long (including few +7min...)... She could have gone streaming thirsty adding a bunch of 15-20 3min long songs and well, she didnt...

As low as OTH acting like Red is not a re-recording and Fearless TV was not out of top100 at same point.

That won't age well when 30 drops below Folklore (they only have 4k difference) since Folklore also has 1M+ more units than 30 btw :lakitu:

Why a Brits performance at the UK would help her to chart higher in a US chart :rip:?

Also what you mention is the minumum an artist can do for their music, and all of that is work done by her team. Adele by herself hasn't done anything for the album... she just cancelled a Vegas residency and went to parties :toofunny3:

Good for her, happy for her! I'd rather have the #1 Global IFPI album of the year with a global #1 hit and outselling WW  :supaspaz:

The way they wasted their money on this... :toofunny3: They could've taken advantage of that exposure (and also put her name on it instead of just a big "30") to immediately release Easy on Me and announce the album because most people probably didn't even know what it was.

OT : That's what happens when you don't release Cry Your Heart Out as a single :gaycat6:

Unfortunately that's not the case about 30 and Folklore(and looks like it won't happen with 30's current trajectory) but i can't say anything about rest, it's people's own preference if they choose peaks or longevity, afterall. :supaspaz:
