Alex Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 (edited) congrats to Doja for hitting this milestone and being the only other female musician to do so Edited February 28, 2022 by dangerousalex
ATRL Moderator wehavetostan Posted February 28, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted February 28, 2022 Amazing I'm surprised Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 and Katy Perry's Teenage Dream didn’t make the milestone
UnusualBoy Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 What are the other 2 female albums? I was gonna say 21 but I doubt RHI charted for 30 weeks.

dabunique Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 soon she will have four songs at 40 weeks or more if YR can hold on for another 6 weeks
Dingdong123 Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Pretty sure Shake It Off, Blank Space, Style and Wildest Dreams from 1989 all spent more than 30 weeks in the Hot 100. Please edit this post

Roberto Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 The fact that big eras from Katy, Gaga, Rihanna, Madonna, Britney or Beyonce haven't done this before. Kelly was truly a force with Breakaway. She also has the biggest jump to #1. Congrats to Doja.

Kelly’s singles were partially helped by Adult Contemporary radio which kept songs on the charts much longer than those that were not supported by AC. Not taking anything away from Kelly. It’s any impressive feat nonetheless because digital sales weren’t really significant at the time, and she moved more album sales than anything (which, obviously, didn’t factor into the Hot 100). I hadn’t realized that the other MPGs were unable to do it during their peaks especially Katy (who also had a lot of AC support). In the streaming era, it’s much easier to stay on the charts if you have strong streaming support. Doja is definitely benefitting from it.
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted February 28, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted February 28, 2022 I didn't even know Kelly had this Breakaway really was huge
KillingYourCareer Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Not surprising for Doja since charts have become super stagnant with streaming... but absolutely shocking for a mid-00s era! Go Kelly
professor2000 Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Another day, another record. Isn’t she almost close to the longest charting solo song by female rapper on H100 too? Queen of longevity.
Nightingale Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Never knew Kelly had this record for specially since it was so difficult to do back then. Congrats to Doja too since clearly not a lot of big eras managed to do this anyway
