Comparing her with her peers who debuted in the 2010s, her catalogue records' streams are just ok especially when she already released a new album in 2020 and new singles in 2021.

she debuted in 2008. + why are we pretending youtoube wasn't a thing 2009-2015 ? Her yt streams were /still are massive, she has like 6/7 videos with over 1 Billion views/streams, 2 of them over 3 Billion, from 4 different albums.

She started to decline just when spotify was getting big cca 2014/2015. She was rejected by the US radio and public in 2017. and as you know the USA is the biggest market. So summing all up she is doing really great

She has a pretty small amount of singles compared to others because she doesn't release albums frequently.

If she released more albums between 2008-2015 she'd be in a much better place tbh.

It should have been

OOTB - 2008

TD - 2010 (not even bother with TD:CC but just add Wide Awake to PRISM and release acoustic TOTGA separately)

PRISM - 2012

5th album - 2015 after superbowl

Witness - 2017 (with a completely different image and concept)

6th album - 2018/2019

Smile - 2020

8th album - 2022

The fact that she only has 5 albums and barely any collabs is just... These DJ collabs should have been happening in 2015/2016. She's really only banking on 3 albums to keep her streams high

look....she released like over 10 singles in the past years....u can't say she's not active

Neither of those were sent to radio so not singles. Nice try though.

And Rihanna has like 8 albums... and what 50 singles + DJ collabs?

She did the smart thing and spam released in her peak

Weird, the navy constantly says this isn’t an excuse so unfortunately it’s not an excuse for Katy. :wave2:

If we use a x1.6 conversion for Apple Music and divide by 1,500 to calculate album equivalent units, and this 2.75m Spotify figure holds for a year, Teenage Dream is "selling" 1 million albums globally every year at this point, 12 years after its release. Incredible.

Her stupid label has forgotten to update RIAA Diamond certification for Teenage Dream before her residency started. :rip: They lost the momentum for big press headlines.

They knew that the first leg would be sold out, so maybe they’ll do it during 2022!

Wasn't it certified 8x Platinum 17 months ago? I highly doubt it managed to gain 2m units in the US since then :rip:

it is constantly charting inside the Billboard 200 because of its amazing streaming numbers

it went from 3x platinum (2015) to 8x platinum (2020) in just 5 years

1 platinum certification per year!

2022 is the year for its Diamond certification!

But do you guys have it's YEC Nielsen numbers? For example we have The Fame's numbers, it did ~340k units in the US in 2021.

Also, the year of the previous certification isn't really a reliable factor, the label could often be late with certifications. For example, aren't DH and Roar eligible for like 13x or even more? And yet her label is certifying Cozy Lil Xmas :rip:
