worldwide angel Posted January 1, 2022 Author Share Posted January 1, 2022 NEW ARTIST OF THE YEAR when selecting a new artist, i was debating on whether or not i wanted to choose an artist that debuted this year or an artist that debuted within the last two to three years a la the recording academy. either way, it really came down to these three specifics artists. these three have made their debut quite recently. they all brought something uniquely them to the industry and i hope they all blow up. however, my new artist of the year is . . . BREE RUNWAY now you may be thinking. girl? but walk with me. bree runway has been doing the god damn thing since her debut and from 2019-present, she's really been coming into her own. i can't even say she experiments in different genres because they feel so genuine to her. someone better scoop her up from EMI and give her the budget she deserves because with what she has now, she's already breaking boundaries and reframing what it means to be a pop star in the 2020s.
