That first line alone. You took the night train for a reason, so you could sit here in this hurt Ugh my poor heart and of course, the bridge. This song killed us all lets be real. #8 The Man with the Axe - Lorde Snoozefest? No. This song is excellent, one of my faves from SP (clearly) The way it makes me feel is... so weird. Listening to this song takes all my energy out of my and just makes me question everything staring at a wall. It's vibes. People who don't like this are weird asf. I can't wait for everyone to appreciate this album one day. #7 'tis the damn season - Taylor Swift TIS THE DAMN SEASSOOOOON Top 3 on evermore. The bridge the bridge the bridge. Breaks my heart every time, this song is superb. #6 Arcadia - Lana Del Rey Cinematic, beautiful, Arcadia. This snippet was stuck in my head for the longest time, and it did not disappoint. Easily one of the best on BB. The last verse especially is so ****y. We love that. Just beautiful. #5 Venus Fly Trap - MARINA Smash smash smash, bop bop bop. One of my favourite Marina songs ever. So ****y. It's just brilliant, she really had me in a chokehold earlier this year. #4 Easier Than Lying - Halsey This was so hard to place, as soon as I heard it I knew it was top 5 material. What a smasha, the exact song I needed this year. I adored Nightmare when it came out and needed more rockier songs from them, and here we are. Nearly knock myself out every time I hear it thought from jumping so much. #3 All Too Well (10 Minute Version) - Taylor Swift I was a bit skeptical at first of a 10 minute song, sounds brilliant from your fave artist. But would it get boring/old quickly? No. I was wrong. What a smasha, the lyricism, she ended everyone. Rip everyone. That line about the first fall of snow, her vocals become so angelic and so does the production End me #2 Purge the Poison - MARINA MARINA domination. I don't understand how this album and the singles were so hated from her fans? Absolute smashes. This song especially with VFT had me in a chokehold. Was my absolute jam this summer. Love it adore it marry it. Pink convertible coming to serve next Friday. and..... #1 Spoiler Happier than Ever - Billie Eilish It had to be. I have never ever ever heard a song and been so in shock. Like seriously, I was in shock. I had to re-listen 3 more times before finishing the album and I never do that. I have to finish an album before re-visiting tracks. This is it. The switch-up is everything, the build from the first half is so necessary. If she serves like this on her 3rd album, it's over. Have a great NYE everyone! Happy 2022. Purge The Poison and Venus Fly Trap are bops! Arcadia and Love Is A Game are both stunning and some of my faves from these albums. Let's go #5 Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land - MARINA June 11th, 2021 9.4 I was no LOVE + FEAR hater, but it did age a lil bit, so I was pleased with how this turned out. I still don't understand why people hate it, maybe the ballad-heavy aspect? Which I personally love. The singles were brilliant choices and it felt like a mix of TFJ and FROOT, what a combo. Excited for the deluxe on Friday - hope it serves Standouts: Venus Fly Trap, Purge the Poison & Flowers #4 Blue Banisters - Lana Del Rey October 22nd, 2021 9.5 I really didn't expect this album to be so high, but she really served. It definitely has more replay value than COTCC, that is such a specific mood for me to listen. But this album has more of a range, can either cry to Arcadia, scream to Dealer, dance to Thunder. Standouts: Dealer, Sweet Carolina & Arcadia #3 evermore - Taylor Swift December 11th, 2020 9.9 The score speaks for itself, essentially flawless album. As time has gone on I prefer it to its sister, folklore. But both are basically perfect to me. A point was deducted as willow is not my fave song, if willow wasn't there this would've been a 10. But apart from that, love this. Autumn sad gal vibes. Perfection Standouts: 'tis the damn season, evermore & right where you left me #2 SOUR - Olivia Rodrigo May 21st, 2021 10 Is it a basic pop album? Yes. But it's genuinely faultless to me. I can't find a single song I do not like or which isn't perfect. She really did that in her debut era. Some people think she is over-rated, but this album is just amazing Basic but amazing, to me. This was #1 for the longest time, but another album is so exceptional and not as basic lmao so had to replace it. Standouts: enough for you, 1 step forwards, 3 steps back & jealousy jealousy and album of the year 2021 winner is... Spoiler #1 Solar Power - Lorde August 20th, 2021 10 No seriously. Just like SOUR, a faultless album for me. At first I was quite scared for the way it was described. But wow was I wrong. This album is hated way too much, people are so stuck in the past they can't accept things changing. They think Lorde needs to keep making Melodrama and PH again and again. It'll get boring. Each album is different. But seriously I cannot wait til Summer begins again and I can stream this all the time. I never normally like a stripped back album, but the lyricism is still so Lorde, and it's just perfect. Perfect perfect perfect Perfect vibes, perfect album. Adore it.
