Rare was a flop then and still is. That being said, this album is still a gigantic flop and he is getting outsold by many other artists. For someone who claims to be the biggest artist in the world, he sure does lose a lot it was nearly the same as the last album for her; fume ed meanwhile has a sizable decline
jinzo Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 I mean that's what you get for releasing literally the same song over and over for years and years. The GP pack up and move on.
Both Sides Now Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Some users are saying he’ll have longevity but have you seen the streaming? It was bad for him.

REALiTi Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 (edited) The way he’s the male Taylor Swift - so obsessed with charts, sales and topping his last albums commercial success. Serving ATRL member. I just know he’s somewhere crying after his team told him the official figures. Edited November 8, 2021 by REALiTi

I think unlike alot of chart geeks he's obsessed with his success but has so many things to enjoy and be grateful for to prevent him from crying over a #1 album which might give him another #1 hit. This artists pulled in 750M+ on his last tour and has a solid career. I don't think the tears will pour down over this.

This is just a big lie considering Adele, Drake and Kanye West (Ye) have broken several different streaming records just recently and overall artists are increasing in daily streams. Ariana released during US Elections week and still outstreamed a LOT of MPGs. She also didn’t have pre-sales and positions (song) was released only a week apart from the album. Ultimately, despite the lack of promotion, the albums also had great longevity. Keep Ari’s name out of your mouth.
Cloröx Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 People saying he will have longevity when streaming numbers suggest the opposite
Cloröx Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 It seems Morgan Racist Wallen will have #1 album of the decade, I even doubt Adele can outperform him at this point

Those 3 artists all had 1. A highly anticipated comeback + 2. Huge fanbases. Every other mainstream artist has seen a decline post-covid. Daily streams are DOWN. There were multiple songs consistently getting 2M+ US updates in 2019 and 2020 before covid, and now, there have been maybe 4-5 songs this year that have stabilized at 2M+ streams for weeks on end. Idk if you're trolling but Selena has never even had a song as big as Bad Habits, how is she in any way bigger than him

I was referring to its chart performance, not sales wise. The album has spent 10 weeks at number #1, and extremely stable since that. It will be #1 on Billboard Decade-end Chart me fear

So he's coming for a billi and Taylor will eventually get there at the end of the decade, too. The only two capable. So now that Shawn and Ed have had their peak I imagine a new male pop star will come into to take their place. Probably a teen or early 20s fellow. Biebermania 2.0 is coming...

It’s bad globally, I follow Kpop and Korea is the same, used to get top 5 songs with 1.5M+ on Melon (Korean Spotify), now you can top streaming charts with 600k. Daily streams are DOWN post pandemic all across the globe.

Daily streams are DOWN post pandemic all across the globe. We want an actual source with actual stats, not ATRLers' personal experience/remarks. Quote The global recorded music market grew by 7.4% in 2020, the sixth consecutive year of growth, according to IFPI, the organisation that represents the recorded music industry worldwide. Figures released today in IFPI’s Global Music Report show total revenues for 2020 were US$21.6 billion. Growth was driven by streaming, especially by paid subscription streaming revenues, which increased by 18.5%. There were 443 million users of paid subscription accounts at the end of 2020. Total streaming (including both paid subscription and advertising-supported) grew 19.9% and reached $13.4 billion, or 62.1% of total global recorded music revenues. The growth in streaming revenues more than offset the decline in other formats’ revenues, including physical revenues which declined 4.7%; and revenues from performance rights which declined 10.1% – largely as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
