I must say, you really have been stepping it up lately. I hate giving that praise, because every time I do, they end up disappointing the next round (see Yoon Young Bae). I'm not TOTALLY in love with the photo but FOR SURE one of the best this round. You captured the era well...

The vibe of this photo is great. There is an energy and culture around this that works. Not a homerun but, like Sasha, one of the better photos this round. I do like how full of life it seems, even as a black and white photo.

I was actually expecting to see this photo, which is sort of disappointing. I do like the photo (and love the song) BUT only the big hair is really giving me the 80's. I wanted something more that I'm sure you could have delivered. This just felt...safe and that's the score you are going to get from me...s a f e (the new Sasha)

There is an eeriness about this photo that just pulls me in. The drama of it all really fits with this era. I do wish there was more to the photo, but for what we have it is really good.

 

Robyn Rihanna Fenty for 1960s @Sempiternal vs Anne Hathaway for 1960s @igor
Unlike the other judges so far, this wasn't as black and white as who was the winner and who was the loser for me. I don't think EITHER photo particularly hit this out of the park. The vibe and attitude in Rihanna's photo evokes the 60's era so much more but what Anne lacks in attitude, she makes up for in the style of the 60's. Both underwhelming but one does slightly pull more weight with me...

 

Again...another underwhelming bunch of photos...I feel like some of you got this far because MOST of this season has been underwhelming. You girls REALLY need to step it up next round. The weak girls are not stepping up, just getting lucky that someone happens to be worse than them that round. The girls who are doing good, aren't going BEYOND and taking risks because they can just cruz of the girls not doing so well. I expect some MAJOR improvements next round...

Disco Inferno! But make is $1.99. The vision is there, but the delivery is very weak, especially compared to all of the amazing photos you've given us. I think I called Bella the face of the season, but now that she's gone, its clear that you are snatching that title. And its well deserved. The face is the best part of the photo but thats not what the assignment calls for.

I actually adore this concept and the photo. It is so creative and really is a gem in your catalogue. I will say, this is where you have to start digging for alternatives because the photo isnt the greatest, but I am sure this photoshoot had many other frames in which you could have chose from. I love the way it is artful, next time be naked. Im sure you'll make it to the next round, hang in there.

First of all, I want to ask did I get the era right? Early 19th century which would be around 1801, correct? You submission with the era was very confusing for me. That aside, this is a phenomenal photo. I gasped when I saw it and know I had to bite my tongue this round because you really did steal the show. I love the expression on your face and the pose here really is brilliant for what you're going for.

I enjoy Anne's photo so much more. I think its weird for Rihanna to do the 60s anyways and this just proves it. Rihanna has such an eclectic and diverse catalogue that anything could have been done. What a shame. Anne, I love how I could see this being a 60s singer album cover or something. Its really retro, young, and alluring.

Yes that’s correct. The Britannica link I sent with you explained that the Early 19th century was when those slaves came over and started Santería. (Technically the start date varies widely depending on which source you use so I just went with one that said what I needed it to say, but that’s neither here nor there).
