Deds Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 It peaked. It was really a cute moment tho! Still wondering how Capitol is letting it fall as we speak. It was, and in some ways still is, an enormous chance to connect Katy to the gp. It’s basically what they’ve been looking for, tragically, during the Smile era mess
Tistotal Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 Yes! It definitely peaked. Hope it can still doing ~500k for two more weeks
katykater Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 It dropped below the new support that is behaving like resistance. It might not be able to break 640k and I drew a resistance line there. It was a good trade, bought in at 150k and we can exit above 600k.

Sadie Saxton Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 (edited) I still want this to cross Platinum she at least deserves THAT plaque from the neglect Capitol and Katy served her Spoiler Watch a remix with Charlie drop in a month now that it’s past its peak Edited October 6, 2021 by Sadie Saxton

They should have done something but it is clear now that they are not.

It's below what I expected last week, her label better do something useful to protect their investments in her for the long run. Recruiting one newer generation means many years of streams, sales, relevancy,... to come. the effort
Fastlane Posted October 7, 2021 Author Posted October 7, 2021 (edited) "Meet Me at Our Spot" and "Harleys in Hawaii" are the most anticlimactic viral songs of the year, but MMAOS is winning because of heavy playlisting around the globe and it haven't an official music video. #44 in Hot 100, Top 20 in Australia and New Zealand only with playlisting. Edited October 7, 2021 by Fastlane
nick4bty Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 So this was only going viral internationally? No wonder Capital didn't bother to do any US playlisting or promo.

It's also top 50 on US Shazam, the label is just out of touch (not only when it comes to Katy, just see how they handled the Manic era).
dream8ker Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 My fave song from her in a while (liked a lot 365 also). It always seemed like it could have been a nice end of summer hit, had it been handled properly and maybe the lead for an era from her.

How they did handle it? I'm not following Halsey, but just interesting to know. I think Capitol is still using iTunes charts as the main factor of song popularity. It's the only possible explanation of their stupid behaviour.

They lost all the momentum Without Me had created and waited forever to release a single (Nightmare) that ended up underperforming and being excluded from the album, which was delayed even more. Then they suddenly started the campaign months later and released 5 songs in 4 months and basically abandoned the era on release week at least You Should Be Sad was payola'd heavily, but then again Halsey's success is mainly US-centered
SeanET Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 if only Geli was alive Katy's career went downhill after she passed

She also served as the creative director for Perry's Teenage Dream.[13][14] Cob-Baehler continued to work closely with Perry until Cob-Baehler left EMI in 2011 to become executive vice president of marketing at Epic Records. Just wow. Now I can understand why is her TDCC and Prism eras were so confusing.

Crowley Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 Honestly, her team should be promoting this one. Sadly, since they're not doing anything for it basically nothing is gonna happen.

Songs dont chart on itunes unless they have strong airplay or performances. HIH has neither

Without Me 2. You Should Be Sad 3. Nightmare or 3AM 4. Be Kind (I know it's not on Manic) Even if the 3rd single flopped, YSBS would have smashed following Without Me. Graveyard is a nice album track, but too boring to be a single Edited October 7, 2021 by Raphy23
