"There's no real proof" - aside from the Twitter accounts detailing exactly what they're doing, promoting it so more fans join in, and explicitly stating that they're manipulating the US chart. :rip: These trolls don't even believe what they're saying.

At the end of the day, it really doesn't break the rules, what they're doing. The money comes from god knows where but the actual buyers who do the transactions are American. That's why how it won't get filtered like actual VPN sales. Billboard won't go out of their way to investigate and audit BTS website buyers to make sure that their funds are only coming from Americans. The only way for BB to close this loophole (that really only BTS stans have the power to abuse to this extent) is to keep lessening the weight for digital downloads and stop counting "website sales" which are blatantly a chart manipulation tactic for all artists who use them for their chart formula.

Thus it is still a valid critic of BTS haters. They clearly have no respect for success in Asia & think the world starts and ends in Europe.

how does asian success correlate to the u.s charts, where Butter is #1 but factually not the most popular song in the U.S. Girl aren't you the one that said that the only relevant chart is Billboard / U.S charts.

Olivia is AMERICAN.

she is asian though. just because you were born and live somewhere that's not ur home country doesn't mean that you aren't that ethnicity

I am not sure what you're culture is so I totally understand & respect that you might feel different based on where you're from...

But in the US, once you're born here, you're 100% AMERICAN. It would actually be racist to consider her anything other than American.

Her ethnicity might be (half) Asian as I understand her mother is German/Irish American. But again, xenophobia is about citizenship, not ethnicity.

The point is she's American of Asian descant. (Asian-American)

BTS are Asian.

Just like Africans & African Americans are not the same and do not have the same Hot100 success historically (clearly).
