prézli Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Avril Lavigne - Too Much To Ask: This album aged well. The song is meh. It remained an album track for a reason.
Auburn Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Sharon Van Etten & Angel Olsen - Like I Used To this is quite good, I like it
GentleDance Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Quote Florence + The Machine - Only If For A Night Why is this not in my group? I would have given it 12
Sanguine Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Avril Lavigne - Too Much to Ask: GODvril never misses
Bicassie Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Beabadoobee - Last Day On Earth review: It’s cute...a lil repetitive but decent score: 7/10
Kinich Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 circle the drain - I've been binging her music a lot these days, great choice!
prézli Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Miley Cyrus - Never Be Me: A bit boring, but I get you wanted to stay in the soft rock lane. That part works.
Auburn Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Pearl Charles - What I Need oh wow this surprised me I really like it
smholiv Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Group B: Soft Rock | Part Three CHUNGHA - X Ooh I like that you sent something different for this round. It's not a favourite of mine from the album but I do like it. She actually kind of works on almost any genre. Avril Lavigne - Too Much to Ask Definitely a nice song. Always been a favourite of mine from Let Go. Taylor Swift - Holy Ground Oh absolutely. One of my favourite albums of all time and one of my favourite tracks from said album. This is a perfect choice for this round and an incredible song all around. The lyrics are so thrilling and mesmerizing. That backed against the production creates a song that is still as energetic and fun as the first time. Miley Cyrus - Never Be Me This is one of the few songs from this album that really gripped me. I don't know why but I just didn't click with Miley's latest version of herself musically. But I feel like this really captures "soft rock" or at least particularly takes inspiration from the kinds of HAC ballads of the '80s/90s but Miley makes it her own.
Kinich Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Fire Bomb - Not sure if this can really be considered as soft rock but I liked the song x
Bicassie Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Karla Bonoff - Somebody’s Eyes review: I like it a lot! It’s really good score: 8/10
prézli Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 The 1975 - Robbers: Lovely production. I love its entire atmosphere. Good job!
Auburn Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Stevie Nicks - Sable on Blond well it's the queen of soft rock, how could we not stan
prézli Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Avril Lavigne - Tomorrow: I like her voice in this song. It's great!
Sanguine Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Tennis - Runner: Cute enough. I need to relisten to this album
Kinich Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Paprika - One of the very few good songs from that overrated album
Bicassie Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Halsey - Finally // Beautiful Stranger review: This is a very pretty song. It reminds me of Gaga’s You and I score: 8.5/10
Auburn Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 HAIM - The Steps they had plenty of actual soft rock songs, sorry
smholiv Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Group B: Soft Rock | Part Four Tennis - Runner Oh I was wondering if I should listen to this album but... Idk its not really working that well for me. Her vocal definitely takes me out of it, although I do like the influences. The 1975 - Robbers It's going to be a no from me. This is one of their better sounding songs though! Avril Lavigne - Tomorrow Also really lovely. I like the lyrics and the idea of not knowing how you'd feel "tomorrow". Idk its just a really nice sentiment/song! Nilüfer Yanya - 7.5093 This has a cool lazy rock vibe to it that I like. I don't really know if I like her vocals/performance though, it's a bit distracting. Kind of like the whole indie-voice thing but worse.
