I don't disagree with sales being filtered, but you can't retroactively change the rules and alter the playing field. This is abuse of power. Throughout the tracking week, website sales were perfectly fine and eligible, and several other artists had used them in previous weeks, so Dua's team had no reason to assume they would no longer count. If they knew, they would have tried to boost the song a different way. The points were so close that it would have been feasible. They literally robbed her and her team of a #1 and there need to be consequences (orquestra version)

One theory is that they removed the sales with fake US addresses and that used VPNs. I hope they are clear about their rules though.

I mean i guess cracking down on mass buying from websites in the future but this is so shady. This isn’t even the most egregious case of that. They should’ve announced on Monday that they were auditing sales and given some more updates instead of just saying “we threw these sales out because they look shady”. It’s pretty ridiculous. 
 

Can we just agree to use Rolling Stone as the standard pop chart going forward? Billboard is only as relevant as we let them be and their credibility has definitely taken a hit this week. Hard to trust anything they put out going forward.
