10 weeks inside the top 10? Really not impressive for a #1 hit love. How many of those weeks were in the top 5? Exactly. Its streaming plummeted, that was all radio payola baby. It was a song that was driven by people checking for her because she was still crying over Justin Bieber. And on top of that, there was that AMAZING PANNED performance at the 2019 AMAs where she sounded like a dying horse. And 2 months later, she was begging for people to buy her album. Even now, Selena wants to quit music because nobody takes her seriously, mainly because she has no vocal talent whatsoever and her music is largely garbage. Levitating has spent 19 weeks in the top 10 and it was driven by a natural increase in streaming, something Selena has never had: a genuine interest in her music, FOR the music, and nothing else.

It's embarrassing how hard her and her label tried to make the song go #1. If these gimmicks had been used by any other pop girl they'd be dragged hard for weeks and would never live it down, but the ATRL gays have a blind spot when it comes to Dua for some reason. Why does this site love coddling Albanian pop stars and super spreaders?

Her label didn't even try to get the number 1 until basically the end of the tracking period.  Every song has remixes and those have been out for months. 

 

#1s have come and gone and Levitating is still top 10

What I'm getting from this is Dua and her label got caught manipulating radio plays and mass buying versions of the song. If that's the case, I don't get why people are disappointed.

It's so painfully obvious that Billboard just tweaked the stats and data until LTDO was a couple points ahead and spent 2-3 days figuring out how best to do it so it didn't seem obviously rigged. Spoiler: It still does!
