The meltdown :rip:

S/o to Bruno for being one SMART businessman, with NO manager. He knew radio is VERY important in the Billboard formula and he promoted the song on radio shows when it dropped, also knowing that radio stations play songs for a much longer period than Spotify TTHs playlists and what have ya, ensuring longevity :clap3:

ATRL stays minimizing the importance of radio

Billboard employees better not leave the door open tonight.

In hindsight I’m kind of glad they didn’t pour all the effort and resources on Hallucinate because I’d be crying right now. It still stings she got Problemed/blackouted.

With Olivia gunning for #1 in less than a week i don’t see Dua getting another chance like this week

I can’t really believe what happened this week. It’s so embarassing and I feel so sorry for “Levitating”.

As a chartfreaker, I never seen anything like that in years.

I know we love to see the girls win, but "Leave the Door Open" is good.  :wanda:

Miss. Dua  released the best pop album of last year.  No one is taking that away from her.

It’s not that deep, why are y’all freaking out

exactly. it was a huge hit anyway without going #1 and it's served longevity.

If they're using Dua as a precedent for the BTS bulk buy next week, that sucks for Dua. They probably want to avoid the wrath of the BTS fans at all costs if webstore sales no longer count.

hopefully, it was embarrassing how Life Goes On went #1 and charted for 3 weeks, literally everyone knows that every BTS #1 is  fraudulent

YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING MEEEEE :dies:

So Taylor stans and BTS stans can get a #1 with website sales but Dua can't? Billboard needs to explain this :bibliahh:

Taylor didn’t get a #1 with website sales. It was close for Willow but website sales contributed minimally to that one. Cardigan was locked with or without website sales.

The conspiracies in here :rip: Congrats Bruno and Anderson :clap3:

The way that ATRL will side with every corrupt institution just so they can "drag" a popgirl :rip:

I don’t really feel bad for Dua. The song has been out for months, they only made an effort recently. It’s had several

high profile performances, discounts, remixes, TTH placements (and #1s have been weak for months). It even had a push on radio.

it’s a lesson learned, her team will never make the same mistake. She’ll obviously get a #1 very soon given the trajectory of her career.

No. Without this airplay recalibration the points would have been:

1. Levitating  293

2. Leave the door open 292

Bruno's airplay was 4 million higher than predicted and Dua's airplay was 2 million higher than predicted:

Airplay predicted for Bruno, Dua and Bieber:

Bruno: 83.1 million

Dua: 57.4 million

Bieber: 78 million

Airplay reported this week:

Bruno: 87 million
Dua: 59.7 million

Bieber: 80.6 million

That wasn’t what I was saying, I was saying that radio was negligible in this discussion because both have benefitted from radio, Dua’s resurgence on radio played a major part in her even getting this far, so being mad at Billboard changing it, which they do all the time, serves no purpose.

The real story is the sales difference :lakitu:

I know the stans of that racist ain’t getting brave

Which is a kii because Dua herself wouldn’t be top 10 currently without it (not trying to shade/say she uses payola, her callouts are great).

You don't get it. Without the radio re-calibration she would have been #1 this week.

I’m not denying that. What I am saying is without radio she wouldn’t have even being fighting for #1 in the first place, so focusing on it makes no sense. Plus she’s been increasing faster on radio than Bruno.

She had bad luck with the re-calibration, it happens, it’s not some conspiracy. Billboard changes random rules all the time.

Low competition. "Don't Start Now" wasn't THAT big. Nobody was releasing.

Don't Start Now was the #4 most successful song of 2020 in the US, the most successful female song at that.

Why do y'all have to lie like this?
