The song was flopping HARD before he was added to it.

The song wasn't a single until the Dababy version was released. Just like Bad Blood with Kendrick and ET with Kanye West

Again, not everyone lives in the little pop bubble yall create in your heads as the only good music out there. I hear leave the door open everytime I step out lol, I swear the downplaying and discrediting of songs on this site because it isn’t pop is so aggravating. Expand your palette.

The song is very local, many of the members saying that are probably from outside the U.S despite this thread being about the U.S charts.

With this song? Not likely. Levitating will be peaking soon.

With another song? Even less likely. She had to get carried to the top 2 by DaBaby, and it's hard to see her getting a bigger hit than this one.

...She just had a massive #2 with Don't Start Now before this and is still young, she will have more chances in the future. Y'all said the same **** about Ariana and NTLTC :skull:

Also you guys are ignoring the fact that she's British, most British pop girls do not even crack the U.S in the first place. Only her and Adele have managed to score more than one Top 2 hits in the past 30+ years so this is still a massive accomplishment.

I think it's kinda impossible for them tbh:toofunny2:

I feel like the annoying "stream x" ATRL banners have a negative effect. Hopefully the modneys take this as a lesson to stop spamming them. :coffee2:

While I 100% agree with this, why will they allow it with BTS next week? I can already see the headline "BTS scores 4th #1" in 2 weeks. They might filter a bit, but you can't tell me that 100k-200k sales will be purely from US stans buying ONE copy.

If they want to investigate it properly, they need to do it with every act and stop cherry picking.

I agree with you, but I also think it probably doesn't help that BTS fans have been quite smart about how to achieve their number ones. I do hope that Billboard does something regarding website sales, since those have gotten out of hand these past few years (not only by BTS fans, though)

The fact that they decided to do this just now while they did absolutely nothing about certain boyband's sales (and in that case it was super obvious because people on Twitter would post how much money they had amassed to bulk buy their singles). They better keep that same energy next week.

Anyway, a #2 peak is still amazing.

She had a solo #2 SMASH last year, can we not start re-writing history now?

Low competition. "Don't Start Now" wasn't THAT big. Nobody was releasing.

And DaBaby couldn't send Camila's song to the Top 10 last year

Well, not everything can be saved, but that was also before "Rockstar" took off, no? If anything, it wouldn't have gone top 40 as a solo Camila track, seeing as she was bombing with everything that didn't have Shawn Mendes attached to it.

The song hadn't been released as a single before he was added. It was launched as a single WITH HIM back in October with a video and performances.

Blessed Madonna Remix was released, and it did absolutely nothing. :michael:

Thanks to its success in the U.S, look at its global chart peaks. It was a flop outside the U.S, barely even Top 20 in the UK.

Bruno will become more and more local if he continues with this kinda music.

I feel so bad for her :(

:weeps:

Stans are ****ing patheitc :ahh:

I low-key feel bad for her that she basically had to "console" that person. Get a grip, it's a #2, not cancer.

That was a promo single for Club Future Nostalgia (a remix album). Have you seen Dua performing that? Have you seen anything that screams single with it? It was a ****ing dance remix to promote a dance remix album, for dance music fans.

You people can't really see beyond your noses, huh?
