Taylor Hick has a #1 single? :deadbanana4:

I have not heard most of these songs  :deadbanana4:

Every idol winner, Taylor Hicks backwards(. Kelly, Ruben, Fantasia, Carrie) had #1s upon winning. American Idol’s hold on America is severely underrated these It launched mega careers in different genres.

All of those American Idols songs bring me back that show was massive. I’m shocked to see This is America. I guess it was overhyped.

this is the only list they're topping organically :bibliahh:

the way 7 songs in the top 10 were released this decade :toofunny3:

Ruben didn't go #1.

Clay Aiken blocked him.

The only American Idol #1 with longevity :clap3:

It went top 10 on radio too.

@Greenwouldn't it be interesting to include remixed singles that were then purged from the chart completely after a few weeks when the originals took over? I wonder what the list would look like then.  I'm thinking instances like this.

S&M Remix: #1 - OUT

Say So (Remix): #1 - #2 -OUT

Perfect Duet: #1 - #1 - #1 - #1 - #1 - OUT

That makes no sense because "remixed singles" do not chart seperately from the original.

This list is based on songs chart run, not credited artists. The remixed songs never charted separately from the originals, they just removed the credited artists.

BTS :ahh:

At least Taylor released her albums together with those singles so it's understandable that they didn't fare that well combined with the fact that they're just very non-radio friendly songs.

In the words of Mariah, "I see right through them like they're bathing in Windex". :lmao: They saw that Savage Remix did not make this list, or additional Brit records with that run of #1s (Womanizer, 3, Hold It Against Me), but a certain Chromatica track did. Very transparent.

I can see why you'd draw that conclusion but it's not that deep sis, I just wanted to see the mess if those were added and ranked high on the list. :skull: Of course Savage didn't make the list, I never expected it to. :psyduck:

As already explained they wouldn't be added as remix singles do not chart seperately. Of course you know this perfectly well.

...I wasn't negating that in the post you just quoted though? :psyduck: That's why I said "if those were added".

And here we are on ATRL claiming HIAM is the weakest #1 single sans the American Idol-led #1 singles.

on the OP lol Gaga is #13 and HIAM #17

Isn't it shocked to see Mariah with a 2000s song? I thought back then songs were so organic due to radio or so. What was it's chart run?

It actually stayed on the chart for a fair number of weeks for a 2000 single, but only top 4 for 4 weeks.

OT: We need an update with a certain band's newest songs :eli:
