lemonade. Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Excellent numbers for Kenny, MJB, and Gorillaz! I hope Kendrick can snatch at least two more weeks on top!

But looking through who they are, what they've done, and where they're at in their career, these are tremendous numbers for them.
Pacaveli Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 I was literally screaming at Kendrick Lamar's power and numbers. There are bigger than I previously expected, so he deserves the props from me and his other fans. He must get that third week on the top of Billboard 200, though.By the way, I'm still jamming to his newest work, titled DAMN.. This album is still so great, though.

Rentboy Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Ed is King of the world. The US is but one country so he doesnt need worry about the LOCAL competition. Nearing 5 million.
soml Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 I want kendrick to go down under 100k for the week Paramore debuts

alexanderao Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 11 minutes ago, Heart.me said: Well, I think a 95% drop is extraordinary. For months now, people have regularly been doing 85 and 90% second week sales drops. It's just that we tend to not see them on HDD's chart because their second weeks are outside of the top 50. Here are a few 2nd week sales drops that were within the top 50, all from this year: Spoon 7-43 (-85%) Big Sean 1-26 (-86%) The xx 1-16 (-86%) Depeche Mode 4-24 (-92%) John Mayer 2-17 (-94%) So -95% is very bad, but I would hesitate to call it extraordinary. I think it would be extraordinary if, say, no one had done more than -75% this year.
Rentboy Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Woo Gorillaz smashing hard beyond all expectations. I love how many old school artists like Damon are getting in the mix still. Rolling stones(selling 2mill WW after 50 years), Metallica, Depeche mode, Mary J etc.....all resisting the streaming takeover with great pure sales.
