I was worried my song wouldn’t be big/serious enough for the competition, and it was also a risk since I knew NOTHING about baseball before deciding to use it as the setting here. I had fun researching and watching media for it, and glad it seemed to stick the landing! I hope I can bring some unusual concepts, characters, themes and settings to future rounds. For this round, I want you pick a specific moment of time, whether it's an historic moment, an iconic decade (70s, 80s, 90s) or era or whichever point in time you would like to write about. It can be about the aesthetic of the time, the music, or even the traditions and policies they used to have. Anything is game. It can be written from a personal perspective, as if you were there and living through it, or as a moment in the past, or however you'd like to express the story. The deadline for this round will Friday, June 25th, at 11:59 p.m. Since this deadline is quite long, I'm inclined to not extend the deadline last minute, but we'll see. Please submit your song here.
