Is there any chance for "Say You Won't Let Go" to go top 10 for at least a week or two in the next coming weeks? 

It's doing well in airplay, sales and Pandora streams. It's only lacking in Spotify and other streaming services.

 

I don't want it to become this year's "Burn" (#13 peak on Hot 100, while top 5 on radio)

Well, I'm considered "weird" by many of my friends for the fact I still listen to Active Rock instead of Classic Rock. Personally, I can't understand why people want to hear the same 25+ year old songs over and over again. Then again, since I write about Active Rock, Alternative, AAA, and Country, I have to stay on top of what's current to know which songs I am writing about. Still, I preferred to keep up to date, even before I began writing about the formats.

Yeah, and prematurely forcing songs into recurrency to inflate the peaks of the lesser known songs doesn't help matters either.

I think anyone can get a #1 nowadays because streaming has made it so easy for some artists. Can be more easily manipulated than sales cuz u actually have to spend money. It's funny and weird how much I used to love the charts but it's been like almost a year since I hardly ever check anything not even airplay charts or anything.  I come once in a while to see where some songs are ATM but  and some songs are that peaking really high I'm like wtf where did this come from this doesn't even sound like a hit.  

 

Think about how this sounds omg she sold 700k in first week  

 

compared to omg she has xxxx amount of streams

This is why I wish BB only counted ODS toward the Hot 100, and/or set a minimum airplay threshold for songs to chart. Maybe BB could implement a policy saying songs must appear on at least one genre's airplay chart to be eligible for the Hot 100. This is a lower minimum level than the 5 M audience I suggested a couple of weeks ago.

You look like a Charts freak, too. Cool, a very interesting point. I think regardless of the emergence of the hits currently, it just reflects how the trend is changing between the public. Maybe they get tired fast. Again, these Hip-Hop tracks are the definition of that. It's just a "moment" thing.

I'm excited every time he gets shirtless, I'm not going to lie. But I'm disappointed, he's not releasing good material, just catchy basic songs. But I'm happy for him, you can't deny how he is one of the biggest artists of the past 3 years (even of the decade).

You're completely against streaming, and I don't agree, because it's everywhere. We have to adapt to the new platforms and deal this is the new thing and it's here to stay. Still the music right now (not caring about hit music) is mediocre :(

Let's be honest, it's just 'chill & cool' material, not necessarily quallity. Quallity lacks and I wonder who's the fault it, because the pop artists are not helping at all, to be honest.
