But lol at me overexaggerating. This is something he knows he won't ever have on his own so I don't blame him for being excited. He probably doesn't know that it's almost a lock by now and I hope they throw a party and celebrate because it's a feat one way or another

It's amazing. But nowadays the most random people get #1s. I mean, Halsey, Gucci Mane, Migos, etc. Maybe Cher ft. Wale will be #1 in a few months.

Adding streaming allowed BB to get a true feel for which songs were the biggest. It's not because Hip Hop is bigger than other years or pop isn't as big, it's just that BB is getting a more accurate assessment of which songs are the biggest with the addition of streaming. This is true.

Don't get me wrong, the other people may have selling/streaming power, but nowhere near Justin. You take Justin off this song and they'd have zero support on Top 40 radio. You combine the views of all the other artists channels on YouTube and Justin still has more. He's the selling point for this song and gave it the platform to debut at #1. He has 5 songs that have debuted top 2. Where have the other artists debuted? Only Wayne has top 10 debuts from years ago. Justin probably has more followers on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube than all of them combined as well. And everyone knows 90% of the females and gays watching the music video are because of Justin and the fact that he's shirtless. But Quavo is featured on everyone's record and is coming off a #1 single and a top 20 single of his own. Lets not act like he isn't also a draw for the record.

I'm just stating the obvious that Justin is the main draw and without him the song would not be this massive. Yes the song still may have been huge, but it would not be debuting #1 next week if Justin was dropped from the song.

Justin's last solo single flopped i.e. didn't even hit the Top 40 during its single release last year around this same time despite performances and Spotify ads. Other artists on the record currently all have hits of their own or multiple hits of their own. Edited May 5, 2017 by Adonis

You know his first 3 singles off that album went #1, so it's not surprise the 4th single flopped when everyone already heard it months prior. Other than Wayne none of the other acts have got to #1 (Migos did but not Quavo). Did you also forgot about Cold Water, Let Me Love You, and Despacito? All massive hits which Justin is featured on within the past year. Pretty sure none of these other acts have had a top 10 this past year other than Quavo in Migos. I'm more inclined to believe someone who just hit #1 as being the draw to a record than someone who's last single did nothing despite all the extra effort. Rihanna got her 4th single to hit top 5 without a video...and she wasn't coming off of three #1 hits.

I love both of those songs. Keep in mind neither was able to hit #1. Why? There wasn't the star power of Migos/Quavo and DJ Khalid on the record. Buy adding them Justin's audience expands as does Quavo, Chance and friends... im curious as to where all those people screaming homophobic when Quavo is on Katy's record but now supporting Justin's record. Tsuko Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Personally I can agree that Justin is probably the "main draw" for the song (i.e. over 50% responsible for the song's success atm). I just can't believe when people say he's 100% responsible, but over 50% is believable and probably correct (although there's no way we can ever know the true value). However, it's also possible that if Chance The Rapper, Quavo and Lil Wayne weren't on the song that it might have like 100 points less on the Hot 100 and be debuting at #2 or #3 instead. Again we'll never know, but that's possible as well.

When the music video came out much later, it was just a dance video and didn't feature Bieber. DJ Snake didn't release a video until months after the single was released and it didn't feature Bieber either Migos gets 1 Hot 100 #1 in his career off of a meme and DJ Khaled doesn't have a single Top 10 Hit in his career and but sure Edited May 5, 2017 by B-Rabbit

Cold Water didn't have its official video released in its first week. If so it would have debut #1. Also Cheap Thrills was discounted that week as well and Justin would have debut #1 is it was for that as well. Once again, yes the other acts do add additional star power to the song, I've agreed with that from the beginning. But Justin is by far the leading force and the reason for it being able to debut #1. Show me all the other acts debut weeks and you'll see that they don't have that power Justin has. Yes Wayne did have many top 10 debuts in the past but nothing as of recent. As a Katy stan the reason for people bashing the Katy track is because everyone wants her to fail. So they saw Quavo as an opportunity to bash her song. Also I'm The One is a really good song and the better song of the two in my opinion so people don't want to hate on it.
