For anyone who still has any doubt.

Khaled just worked with Beyonce and Jay and peaked at 57. Migos is doing nothing for Katy. Wayne hasn't had a hit in years. 27 minutes ago, Tsuko said: No it's not. I can't believe people are so stupid to think Despacito and I'm The One are successful SOLELY because of Justin Bieber. Can people please use their brains? I'm sorry but it's genuinely stupid to think that. I'm The One could've easily been a top 10 hit if it was Kent Jones singing the chorus. Despacito could've easily been going top 10 if the remix had Enrique Iglesias and Sean Paul on it. And Despacito owes even more to Bieber. If Enrique and Sean Paul were on it, the preteen girls who control iTunes + YouTube streams would not have tuned in.

Despacito could've easily been going top 10 if the remix had Enrique Iglesias and Sean Paul on it. It is silly to say he's solely the reason (I haven't seen that. Just people being VERY dramatically defensive at anyone who notes Bieber is the main player in both songs - solely or not) To deny his influence is more stupid though. I don't think ITO would be holding atop iTunes without Bieber/Kent Jones instead. Same for Despacito. I think they might've still did something, but he was sought after for a reason too. It's easy to say "oh if Kesha sang BA instead it'd be a hit" and similar to stuff like that, just replacing who would sound just as good doesn't equate to similar response. It's a really baseless crutch to use that doesn't push the debate anywhere. Edited May 3, 2017 by Rico Shameless v2

dussymob Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 My point still stands, the streaming power came from the rappers. If it was just Bieber on it there's no chance in hell it would be debuting at number one.

If you only listen to one type of radio station than that's why. Humble is #27 overall on radio with over 55M audience impressions. It gained over 2M alone today. It's far from non-existent.

What Urban radio stations do you listen to? I'd love to look them up because I guarantee they've played it. It's the 4th most played song on that format currently. It's becoming impossible to avoid it on those stations. It's even gaining the most spins and audience everyday It's also #8 on Rhythmic stations with the second highest spin increase and highest audience increase today. And it just started charting on Pop radio a few days ago. Anyways I'm so pumped to see Bieber with 2 top 3 songs next week and a #1 debut

UnusualBoy Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 It's impressive that Justin went from no having #1 pre-2015 to have 4, maybe 5 in less than 2 years
