'Crystal Clear' is nice too, but I run a tight ship and only budgeted one slot on my list for The Crimson Curse! Maybe I’ll give her a Listinque As for the guesses, the Nikey one is Do It by CxH, the guy sleeping is In a Dream by Troye, and the Sky is Midnight Sky

Each photo represents an upcoming song! I think the final one might be kinda hard for the Gen Z girls. @JGibson wanna take a stab at it?
geodancefreak Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 Golden and Hallucinate Guesses: Do It, Levitating?

I find it cute that y'all keep guessing 'Levitating' I can see why folks are guessing it based on the photo but you'll soon see it's much more straightforward than that Spoiler That's a wrap for Present Payola entries on my countdown btw! 'Don't Start Now', 'Physical', and 'Hallucinate' were my three picks coming in at #72, #57, and #22 respectively. All will come to light shortly Edited December 24, 2020 by ReverseWarholian

TheWayWeWere Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 Bad Friend getting acclaim one of my favorite pop songs of the year Kyoto Golden is ****ing glorious 3AM is Manic highlight 17 hours ago, ReverseWarholian said: Daisies? 17 hours ago, ReverseWarholian said: Savage Remix?

Now under usual circumstances, I would refrain from including a much older song on a YE countdown but the viral resurgence + newfound relevance this song gained in 2020 forced me to make an exception. We love to see (and hear) it! Edited December 24, 2020 by ReverseWarholian

Halsey Serving 2009 Warped Tour pop-punk excellence and their chemistry on the track is undeniable. Halsey comes in like a bat out of hell on her verse and sounds surprisingly good on those higher notes. What a THRASHER. Btw - if anyone was a little perplexed by the clue, those are forget-me-not flowers
Reverse Warholian Posted December 24, 2020 Author Posted December 24, 2020 (edited) #18. 'Do It', Chloe x Halle While there are technically better tracks on Grammy Hour, I use this one and maybe 'Forgive Me' the most. The production is just so clean and fun. This is like the perfect getting ready for a girls night out / pre-drinking while trying on different outfits song If this were an Ariana song, it would've been an insta Top 5 Billboard Hot 100 smash, had 2385405358324 streams by now, and lyrics be featured as a caption in like every white gay's IG bio, which is depressing to think about bc she's just not doing it like Chloe x Halle, Jhené, and a handful of these other girls. Someone needs to tell the excuse me, i love you? songstress that rnb / hip hop is NOT her lane and never will be. @Rei @Walk_Away21 Edited December 25, 2020 by ReverseWarholian
Reverse Warholian Posted December 24, 2020 Author Posted December 24, 2020 (edited) #17. 'Midnight Sky', Miley Cyrus I thought it was just alright on first listen, but man did I switch like a f-word! Perfect example of the persuasive qualities physical / traditional promo has. As I watched new performances online and heard this more on the radio here, I was able to latch onto and pick out really interesting and very cool production details that I maybe missed during my initial listens and just really appreciate the g o r g e o u s dance-rock aesthetics of the song. Favorite Miley single in ages and deserved A LOT more in the US. Edited December 24, 2020 by ReverseWarholian

'Savage', Megan Thee Stallion feat. Beyoncé I liked the original solo version quite a bit, but I immediately knew it was OVER for the other girls once this remix was released. Unlike previous times in history, Beyoncé's melodic rap vocals actually serve a purpose here and are pleasant sounding to the ears? Lol. Props to the producer for actually integrating Beyoncé into the song so it feels like a proper collaboration and not just some quick lil rent-a-verse tacked onto the original with an ugly instrumental change. We love a remix that elevates the status of the original! ^^Btw for the Gen Z girls, that's Australian pop duo Savage Garden in the photo clue above. Their debut era was really big in the mid-late 90s lol. @rihannabiggestfan Edited December 24, 2020 by ReverseWarholian
