Possibly the best hoe anthem of all time and the most discussed song of 2020. We love an instant classic! :WAP:

Bonus: It was fascinating to see every Republican seething profusely about this throughout the summer :rip:

Drag me a bit! I enjoyed What's Your Pleasure but many of my choices are based on replay.mp3 value which that album didn't really have for moi despite how well it's crafted. Same situation applies to Fiona Apple and Phoebe Bridgers this year.

Lmfao, I suppose that's still a reasonable guess but the money one is totally meant for a different song!

I'd probably have BL in my Top 3 if it were a proper 2020 release.

The Ooh La Lashings continue! :jonny2:

 #5. 'XS', Rina Sawayama

There isn't a single negative thing I can say about this track. The juxtaposition between Y2K-pop x electric guitar riffs / consumerist culture critiquing lyrics in disguise / Rina's flirty vocal delivery is some of the most creative production I've heard all year. Still sounds fresh after so many plays.

More importantly, this song was my gateway into SAWAYAMA - one of THEE best albums of 2020 :jonny:

Idk. They're good records but are missing that X-factor for me that get me ADDICTED to an album. My countdown is very pop dominant, but I used a lot of the alt-rock girls this year as well except HAIM.

If I end up doing a best albums list, I'm sure they'll manage to creep their way onto it

Forreal. The Slow Rush is so good! The straights (Tame Impala, Abel, RTJ, The Strokes, MGK etc.) made several points this year and that's that on that.

#4. 'Bloody Valentine', Machine Gun Kelly

Me stanning a MGK album? Only in 2020. Call it nostalgia-baiting or call it TABS - the truth is this **** goes OFF and the 'Bad Things' rapteuse delivered on all fronts. Love the aggressive punk-pop instrumental and energetic chorus. Rock icon Travis Barker deserves major props for producing. Once the rock explosion peaks in a couple years, I think a lot of us will be looking back at this bop and a crediting a small batch of artists (MGK, Halsey, Miley, YUNGBLUD, All Time Low, blackbear, Dominic Fike, Bring Me The Horizon, Grimes, Poppy, beabadoobee) for bringing this sound and aesthetic back to the forefront.

I'm kinda glad Feminem ended his mainstream rap career (though imo 'Rap Devil' >>> 'Killshot') so KING could pivot into a new niche and serve us this updated Warped tour anthem! N E wayz, stream Tickets To My Downfall (Sold Out Edition) on Spotify immediately! @Sam96 @Sexyzinger @B-Rabbit

I really dislike the new wave of pop punk in a way I can't quite explain :dies: I don't want to say only the 2000s stuff is good cause it sounds pretentious but like... the new stuff just feels uninspired to me. I loved Beabadoobee's album though.

XS is cute, although I'm not obsessed with Rina like the rest of ATRL

Never listened to Rina, maybe I’ll have to give the album a listenque

Not a fan of MGK, but I did like his Halsey tune & the We Can Never Be Friends Song.

Wait a minute Ms Ma’am

Not sure if she's your cup of tea, tbh! The album is super eclectic though so I'm sure there's at least one or two saves on it for you.

Tickets To Downfall is such a good album to listen to. I'm shocked MGK didn't put why are you here on TTMD. Would be one of the top songs on the album
