Tayriana the only females with multiple entries :jonny5:

This is mostly because people like Rihanna and Beyoncè have only dropped 1 solo studio album in the streaming era. Adele's last album was in 2015.

It's bad enough that there aren't that many female acts who can pull up to 100 million streams with an album. The ones who can either haven't dropped enough albums in the streaming era or aren't even dropping new music at all. Such a mess.

This! This is why I find it sad there’s so much bickering on here when we are honestly the only ones that support these girls yet we bring them down all the time :rip:

Straight men and fragile masculinity wbk. But the thing is it's women who are sexist too because otherwise you'd see more women on the list if what they listened to was balanced. It's such a mess.

Right? I guess it can help drive fandom competition if it's done lightly and in a spirit of friendly competition. But all too often it gets too intense.

Most of my female friends listen to like 30% women 70% men and then men are like 5% women 95% men :bibliahh:

Male acts, especially rappers, tend to drop more music more frequently, their audience supports entirely through streaming and generally, there are more male acts active in mainstream music right now than female. That's why.

At this point they need to create separate charts for men and women like how sports are segregated by gender.

They're not even on the same playing field anymore :rip:

More female mainstream musicians need to drop next year or else it'll be entirely male-dominated. So many men who didn't drop this year will drop next year.
