After scoring her first Hot 100 No. 1 at the end of 2019 with the vulnerable post-breakup ballad “Lose You To Love Me,” Rare became her third No. 1 title in early 2020, earning 703,000 equivalent album units to date, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

Revival was released at the end of the tracking year. It was #18 in 2016. Rare hasn’t been charting for a while so #101 will be its peak and it’ll take a lot more than eight months to go platinum

Doesn't Billboard only count post-album release numbers ? It's probably already Platinum eligible for the RIAA.

No, this includes pre-album SPS. It was at 436k Billboard units when if left the chart

She was smart including all those singles she released before the album release.
