Little Mix down to 14 :rip:

Does Amazon force the payola more at the weekend cos their two songs have been high in the first midweeks for the past few weeks but neither have entered the top 10 yet for the final chart...

I hope neither gets number one.

amazon data is always reported on time whilst spotify/Apple Music is typically reported a day late so that's why the amazon songs always are high in first look chart and then fall throughout the week!

Genuine question: why positions already dropped below fine line despite the title track being a hit? Does the UK album chart count single performance like the US does?

i think the streams of the top 2 tracks are averaged out or something so they don’t have much effect. it’s a weird rule someone can probably explain it better lol

is positions (the song) #6?

The two most streamed songs on the album have their streams "neutralised" so they don't count towards the album charts.

Cause Fine Line has much better pure sales. Lewis, Harry and Dua are killing it this year compared to everyone else, plus Billie still having massive longevity.

-

Taylor!!! :clap3: evermore surely will become her second album in UK to have more than a week at #1 after Xmas is over.

Shawn dropped to #52 :deadbanana4:

Thanks for explaining! So I guess the UK album chart is more reflective of album consumption as a whole

Streaming influences a lot but pure physical sales are a must too to do well (streaming equation for the chart is pretty low and digital sales are dead there). Taylor for example is doing massive numbers for a digital only release, at the back of exceptional streams that would be impossible to sustain.

They should be safe for top 10 album and single then :clap3:
