It really does remind me of the turn of the century but sounds super fresh. 48. Allie X - Learning In Public - Honestly the lyrics are kinda stupidly corny but I stan that everything else. 47. Fiona Apple - I Want You To Love Me - That ****ing piano line. That’s ****ing music man. 46. Conan Gray - Wish You Were Sober - Conan repeatedly claims Taylor as his biggest inspiration but this song is the first time he impresses me and made something that feels Swiftian, he needs to study Taylor's work more 45. Stray Kids - Haven - The male K-SOTY. 44. Kitten - What Year Are We In - That deadpan delivery and the punchy synths, yes I’m obsessed!! 43. Lady Gaga - 911 - It's really hard to make a song about mental health without coming across as cringy but Gags actually went THERE with this? The lyrics are so scarily accurate She really dragged me hard with this 42. Dreamcatcher - Scream - I like to listen to rock. I’m a rock hearer. I like to hear words of meaning. Smilers Posted December 9, 2020 Author Posted December 9, 2020 (edited) 15) Clara Mae - Drunk On Emotions Highlights: Lost, Unmiss You, Overused, Drunk On Emotions Sometimes I’m just in the mood for basic, straightforward pop and this album perfectly caters to that need. 14) Carly Rae Jepsen - Dedicated Side B Highlights: Let’s Sort The Whole Thing Out, Fake Mona Lisa, Felt This Way / Stay Away, Now I Don’t Hate California After All I’m predisposed to like anything by Carly so this comes as no surprise. Yet another album full of 10/10 pop perfections to add to my already overstuffed Carly playlist on Spotify. 13) Fiona Apple - Fetch The Bolt Cutters Highlights: I Want You To Love Me, Shameika, Relay, Ladies Fiona’s reputation as one of the best songwriters ever is on full display here. She really didn’t hold back at all. We got lyrics that are witty, unhinged and extremely visceral. My jaw dropped at that part in For Her. The instrumentals do a great job at conveying its rawness, between the sparse arrangement, the amazing piano lines and the dramatic percussion. 12) Flo Milli - Ho, Why Is You Here? Highlights: Not Friendly, Weak, Like That Bitch, Scuse Me This whole album SLAPS. Every song goes hard. She brought the fun flows, the infectious charisma and the iconic “Flo Milli ****” repeated at least one million times. 11) LOONA - [12:00] + [#] Highlights: Why Not?, Hide & Seek, So What, Oh (Yes I Am) OK I know this is technically cheating but I’m merging them both since both are good they only amount to 11 full songs which is a standard length for albums. It’s easily the 2020 K-AOTY. Chock-full of instant, irresistible bangers that each had their own quirks. Side note: Does Universe reminds anyone of Good Luck by AOA?
