And with Future Nostalgia she did it like no one else, I can say for sure it's one of the best pop girl era in years and years. While album itself is strong, bold collection of one of the best pop tunes of the year, it still has some flaws, but she made everything up with how she presents her material. What an amazing and organic step-up from self-titled to main pop girl status highlights: Cool, Future Nostalgia, Love Again, Levitating, Hallucinate 11 Taylor Swift | folklore "You knew the hero died, so what's the movie for?" Lyricism. Storytelling. Emotions. Bittersweet. Nostalgic. Heartbreaking. The way she released her magnum opus just after Lover.. whew. highlights: august, my tears ricochet, the 1, this is me trying, the lakes TOP 100 SINGLES 20 Ariana Grande | positions "This some **** that I usually don't do" I know this was a bit hated on this site, but I actually loved it way too much. It's cathy as ****. Very hooky, infectious, breezy, sexy and mellow. I'm in love with its acoustic guitar sound. 19 Dua Lipa | Don't Start Now "Did the heartbreak change me? Maybe" Welp, this is legendary and iconic now, and I can't complain at all. It's so catchy, sexy, soulful, groovy and powerful. Perfect pop track. 18 Christine and the Queens | People, I've been sad "If you fall apart, then I'm falling behind you" This is ****ing gorgeous! So intimate, sharp, strikening and emotional! It makes me wanna cry time to time. One of her most effective songs to date. Painfully beautiful. 17 Chloe x Halle | Forgive Me "You must got me ****ed up, I think I had enough" Probably one of the most striking tracks from album. It feels like celebration on womenhood, maturity and independency. That instrumental alone is one of the hottest of the year! 16 Kylie Minogue | Magic "The time is disappearing, this moment's never leaving" This indeed feels like magic. Celebration of life and love. This smooth disco pop is full of synths and groovy baseline, it's full of energy and light. Such a warm and delightful song to listen.
