TOP 50 SONGS: #20 - #11

20. Astrid S - Dance Dance Dance

her album didn't live up to the expectations but at least it gave us this song which is scandipop perfection. The sax in the video version >

19. Aya Nakamura - Jolie Nana

I wasn't expecting this to be so high but what can I say, it's such a catchy bop and it went off during the summer so here we are! Reine de france tingz

18. Lennon Stella - Summer Feelings (feat. Charlie Puth)

another summer hit only for me I guess. I like Lennon, I find her voice very charming, need more pop material from her. Charlie did his synthpop magic as usual, even tho this was way stronger than his own recent singles imo

17. Lady Gaga - Rain On Me (feat. Ariana Grande)

now, y'all know I'm an occasional OGH, but I couldn't say no to this euro anthem, the drop always reminded me of Music Sounds Better With You which is one of my favorite classics so I had to stan. Best song on Chromatica by really far, Ariana did her thing too

16. Dua Lipa - Pretty Please

best album track on FN yup. I love how the song keeps growing during all of its lenght, the bassline, the cowbell and all the other little details in the production made it really special. I think PP had a key role in making FN such an acclaimed album

15. Topic, A7S - Breaking Me

european SOTY, it immediately reminded me of Ocean Drive which is a classique too :smitten:

14. The Weeknd - Save Your Tears

the nostalgic pop perfection that this song is... Abel and Max are a match made in heaven.

13. Harry Styles - Watermelon Sugar

SOTS tbh, no wonder it smashed so hard because it really has that classic feeling imo. Harry one of the winners of 2020 and rightfully so

12. The 1975 - If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)

the album was mostly noise and I hate them for that, but this song? An explosion of 80s heaven

11. J. Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny, Tainy - ONE DAY (UN DIA)

perfect faux deep-atmospheric-chill bop for the end of the summer, I literally consumed it. Every mix of reggaeton and synthpop is a win for me

I was shocked to see Positions so low but then realized your list is only based on plays:nicole2:

Experience, Cool, & Level of Concern :clap3:

Love how each time you do these I find a new bop for my playlist. This time it’s Feels Right :gaycat6:

Yeah positions would've been definitely higher if released later

and really happy to hear that  I'm planning to revisit your best of with more attention when I'm done with this

Roosevelt is amazig btw, he has several bops

Over Now is okay! Feels Right is AWESOME, personally my favorite track from him this year is Echoes but Feels Right is JUST behind it.

Positions, Cool, Impact, and Experience, also songs I really enjoyed this year :clap3:

Roosevelt praise  I loved everything he released this year tbh, can't wait for the album

Experience :jonny: BANGER

Impact making a list :clap3:

omg, you're so right about Positions, one of her highlights! It's gonna be affected by late release on my countdown too :'(

I blame Ariana and her no attention to well planned eras :'(

20 hours ago, KasioKas said:

You liked Cool more than Positions? Inch resting

Cool aged poorly for me

Cool came out in March, Positions not even 2 months ago, and this list is based on plays so :cm:

23. SG Lewis, Robyn, Channel Tres - Impact

24. Dua Lipa - Cool

25. Ariana Grande - Positions

28. Calvin Harris, The Weeknd - Over Now

Over Now is Funk Wav., mid tempo excellence! I think people were expecting something more dance-y but I love it :giraffe: Everything else slays too :clap3:

This is actually my first time listening to Fever (for whatever reason I ignored it nn) and it's such a breezy bop :smitten:

yeah ON is definitely Funk Wav'd and I like that, but from Abel + Calvin everyone expected a banger and rightfully so I think :'(

stan for fever, definitely a breeze bop!

Summer Feelings was my summer bop too

Rain On Me, watermelon sugar, pretty please :clap3:

Rain on Me and Pretty Please back to back slay. Pretty Please SO underrated. Also I hated that Astrid album but DDD is actually one of two tracks I can tolerate. Save Your Tears so good.

Yeah I'm glad The 1975 aren't getting any year end acclaim this year they don't deserve it, but I also love that after their super acclaimed era (that album was great too) they're having this middle-of-the-road release. Kinda fun. Anyway, Too Shy is a BOP and yep easily the best thing on that album.

Roosevelt is amazig btw, he has several bops

I’ll look more into him :gaycatney1: Also I think you’d especially like the Madeon & Porter Robinson tracks I listed in mine :lakitu:

OT: More great picks :jonny6:

Rain On Me & Save Your Tears which I lowkey thought both would’ve been higher

Pretty Please is 100% one of the best album tracks on FN  :jonny5:

Just listened to the Astrid song and it’s so good, another new bop for me:gaycat6:

Expecting Weeknd + Dua for your entire Top 10 and Say So :fan:

Experience deserved top 20, what a SONG :WAP: Level Of Concern is decent but it aged and it's so forgotten fffff

happy that You should be sad is top 40 but it deserved to be at least 30 spots higher :jonny5: FN >>>>>> Cool and Fever :keir:

Dance Dance Dance is really cute  1 of 2 nice tracks from the album! Save Your Tears + Watermelon Sugar :jamming: Pretty Please and Rain On Me absolutely! PP is the best Future Nostalgia non-single and ROM was a 2020 pop culture highlight!

Posted

Rain On Me & Pretty Please :clap3:

ROM a bop yes

Pretty Please hmmm anyway :eli:

Save Your Tears is a bop

WS is good but really got annoying tbh, a good single choice though

I mean I agree with you about The 1975 album, but you should've put If You're Too Shy in the top 10 anyway :eli:

wait now. Emotional Oranges. One of my friends recommended West Coast Love. The only song I really listen to so I should branch out soon.
