Mr. Loco Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 After hours is such a great album!! It deserves to be way higher
Sunderland 4ever Posted December 16, 2020 Author Posted December 16, 2020 (edited) 18 hours ago, Valtersen said: btw how do you listen top 300 albums in a year how do you find them I check for new albums every Friday on albumoftheyear and rateyourmusic (especially the former), and the ones I like are added to my list of albums on Spotify. Provided that I had to stay at home, I had more free time than ever. I also check some youtube channels that upload indie albums from time to time (mostly indie pop, dreampop and jangle pop) and I see if certain tracks I like on Spotify every month are part of an album. Chances are high that I will end up liking the album too. 16 hours ago, Remmy said: After Hours Petals for Armor I don't know why so many people underappreciate it. I feel like I had Mk.gee on a list of artists to check out but for some reason I took them off? Let me peek at a few of these later I didn't like it as much unfortunately. Still, Simmer and Sugar On The Rim were good tracks! 15 hours ago, TheWayWeWere said: Petals for Armor I hope bitch going back to Paramore sewn Me too. Last Paramore album was of my faves of the decade. 13 hours ago, Legend E said: after hours + petals for armor he doesn't listen to **** songs like halo Halo is cool, though. 12 hours ago, Chamoy said: Let me check out some of these Dream Pop albums. That's one of my favorite genres, so expect to see some more in the Top 100. 11 hours ago, Ewan Chaos said: Real Estate, The Weeknd, Destroyer, Hayley Williams, Drive-By Truckers, George Clanton, Fleet Foxes, Hazel English are the LPs I also listened to. Most I quite enjoyed! Hayley so low! I see you have After Laughter so high though; you must have wanted a POP pop album not an art pop album from her Good to know. I honestly wanted to like Destroyer and Hayley more but I guess art pop is not my genre of choice. Poppy pop FTW! 4 hours ago, K$Ellie said: love to see Hayley panning Fleet Foxes was just okay for me After Hour quite low tho Definitely better than their previous work. 4 hours ago, Brandon said: ℍ????? All HAYL HAYLEY 4 hours ago, geodancefreak said: Petals For Amor is kinda cute hehehe Just kinda, I agree. 1 hour ago, Lazuli said: petals for armor and shore they should’ve been higher tbh! i especially love shore more than their previous album We agree there. Interestingly, this year I've heard so many albums that they ended up out of the Top 100, while their previous album managed to enter the Top 100 if I'm not mistaken. ikiru Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 listened to Foreign/National (Heat) and Hazel English (Combat) this time. I really enjoyed the Foreign/National song, the whole vibe of the song is so relaxing, usually not the type of music I'd listen to so this was a pleasant surprise! The guitar in the middle of the song is phenomenal! Combat reminded me a bit of the latest Kacey Musgraves album, idk why. Her voice is beautiful, but I just couldn't get into the song.

ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 16, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted December 16, 2020 i enjoyed the CGO74 album, with it was a liiittlle stronger though. YDLMA is probably the best from it. but hey ill take more slow 80s revival lmao.
Blue Rose Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Only heard Re-Animator and Saint Cloud from this set. Wasn’t crazy about either
BlackoutZone Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Oh wow we finally arrived to 2020, I'm curious to see how many of my faves make it
Remmy Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Alright let me come back later and explore stuff from these last 2 sets I've seen that Waxahatchee album cover before & it caught my attention, I don't think I checked out any track(s) from it though.

Mark Rih Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Checking Honey Moon Drips as we speak and I'm liking what I'm hearing, the synth energy
ARTPØP Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Def wanna check out some of these artists tbh

Okay I'm back Checked out several artists and these are the ones that interested me the most: Jaunt, Moaning & The Chain Gang of 1974. TCGo74 kinda remind me of Nightly & joan, both of which I just got into this year.
Alldeezy Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 glad to see your back <3 keen to keep an update on your best of
potent Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 I don't think I've heard of any from this set except Everything Everything and Waxahatchee, but I haven't heard any song that I can remember Excited to see what you have charting higher though!
Green Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 After Hours is really good, one of my favorite albums of 2020 I haven't heard Petals For Armor but I liked Dead Horse
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted December 17, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted December 17, 2020 Quote Halo is cool, though. charlie plz waiting for the next update tho
Tom Vercetti Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Recognizable artists for me. It's just their recent albums that I have not devoted attention to. Genre-Wise, i'll take a peek at DJ phython tho.
Ewan Chaos Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 There's Everything Everything! And Waxahatchee! People (on here at least) HATED that album but she's on my list shhh And Hannah Georgas's album! aka the non-event Folklore. That album is good though. I (for the controversy) was tempted to include her album above Folklore on my list to be like "the better Aaron Dessner album won!" but eh, it wasn't captivating enough for me to push it up like 50 albums on my list.

My favorite album from Foreign/National was his debut LP, called Dépaysement [2017]. In fact, that LP ended up being one of my favorite albums of last decade. Heat started with a couple of strong tracks but it became sort of flavorless afterwards. Check out their 2017 LP! Hazel English was a fine LP. I feel like five years ago, I would have liked it a lot. Back then, I was into Day Wave. 22 hours ago, TheWayWeWere said: I'll wait for another update since I'm not familiar with these albums Not even the artists? 20 hours ago, Madame X said: i enjoyed the CGO74 album, with it was a liiittlle stronger though.
