Ewan Chaos Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Texas Sun! I know you'll have Mordechai higher, but glad to see Texas Sun also getting some love. After Laughter being top 20 YAAAAAAAAAS. Definitely my favorite album of 2017 and probably top 5 ever? And I wasn't even a huge Paramore fan before minus Ain't It Fun. Whew the way Hayley slapped me around and said YOU'RE DEPRESSED, NOW DANCE and I said YES MA'AM
Remmy Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Took a peek at some of the songs from a few of these EPs but nothing really jumped out at me. The artist that appealed to me the most was Mopac so good choice for your #1!
potent Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I don't know any of them a lot of the genres do sound interesting though Some of the covers are interesting too

Sunderland 4ever Posted December 15, 2020 Author Posted December 15, 2020 (edited) Charlie's Top 100 LPs of 2020 | #140 - #121 Finally! It's time to start with this year's lists. Around 300 albums from 2020 were listened to (a few from 2019), out of which only 155 managed to get a score. I considered albums with at least 30 scrobbles (around 2 to 3 plays) throughout the year. How do I rate them? Each track gets a score from 1 to 10. Then the sum gets divided by the number of tracks and finally that number is multiplied by ten. Example: John Smith - The Original Album Track 1: 8 Track 2: 10 Track 3: 8 Track 4: 9 Track 5: 10 Track 6: 9 8+10+8+9+10+9 = (54/6)10 = 90/100 What does the final score mean? It goes like this: 71-75: Listenable, but not really replayable 76-80: Decent 81:85: Good 86-90: Very good 91-95: Outstanding 96-100 Masterpiece #140. PrinceMichaelFan Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 #131. The Weeknd - After Hours after hours is amazing!!!
geodancefreak Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 I only know After Hours from these ones. It has a few great songs, but overall I don't like it that much.
Lazuli Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 the real estate’s album was fine but i didn’t find any standouts like i did for their previous one after hours
TheWayWeWere Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 After Hours is a bit too low? But I'm ok with that, since it's worse than his previous albums
Blue Rose Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Poolside’s album was ok but it bored me. The featured vocalist, Panama, sounded so much like Sampha but a cheap version The album had a lot of potential tho.
Staryu Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 I honestly only know After Hours from this set but I will look into some of these artists I have very mainstream pop/basic gay taste tho
ikiru Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 After Hours is a great album! I thought the SoKo record was cute as well, but a bit forgettable. I've decided to check out songs from Yohuna (Mirroring) and The Bilinda Butchers (Night and Blur) because these cover arts were the most appealing to me. I really liked the Yohuna song, immediately saved it to my Spotify library! The Bilinda Butchers song was alright, didn't really enjoy it at first but the song got better towards the end. Great instrumentation!

Kind of forgot that the abum existed tbh. 2 hours ago, TheWayWeWere said: After Hours is a bit too low? Ewan Chaos Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Real Estate, The Weeknd, Destroyer, Hayley Williams, Drive-By Truckers, George Clanton, Fleet Foxes, Hazel English are the LPs I also listened to. Most I quite enjoyed! Hayley so low! I see you have After Laughter so high though; you must have wanted a POP pop album not an art pop album from her
K$Ellie Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 love to see Hayley panning Fleet Foxes was just okay for me After Hour quite low tho
Lazuli Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 petals for armor and shore they should’ve been higher tbh! i especially love shore more than their previous album
