i think the vampire weekend choice is the correct one.  mvotc did not age as well and its just a fact we all have to come to terms with, aside from diane young at least.

i DO think the alvvays choice was incorrect though.  their sophomore improved on what they did in the debut.

Maybe the fact that I was able to purchase that vinyl the day they opened for Tame Impala in my city in 2016 made a huge impact on my decision.

A Deeper Understanding :jonny5: honestly deserved top10

Lonerism is Tame Impala’s second best album after Currents (well these are their only 2 good albums )

Posted

Also some classics in here: Foster the people, Japandroids, Black keys :clap3:

I love Torches :smitten: and Lonerism :clap3: also that album title 'Suck It and See' :deadbanana4:

Tourist History :sats: Yup that's the album I was waiting for! Bonito Generation is really cute and quirky, listened to it for the first time this year. Torches :smitten: I used to lowkey dislike Foster the People for some reason until I saw them at one of those Jingle Ball shows and checked out the album. It used to be their best work until Sacred Hearts Club dropped.

Lonerism is such a classic, kinda saddens me how Kevin is declining

Going over your countdown has made me realize how much I should diversify my listening, but I also have this 'Best of' marked on my favourites so I can go back and look at some of the albums listed here. :duca:

I am happy to see Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys and Foster the People though. :clap3:

This update is a ****ing slay.

Bonito Generation >>>>>>>> their second album, I have no idea why people seem to feel the opposite... I guess people only started following them after they tied themselves to Hyperpop/PC music so they only listened to their newest album.

SO happy to see that Nicole Atkins album here; it's soooooo good. I really liked her album this year too (not on my top 50 sadly), but this one is better imo.

The War on Drugs, Japandroids, Tame Impala, and The Black Keys, rock excellence of last decade :clap3:

Bonito Generation! A great album, do you also like their second album? I had a hard time getting into it, but "Only Acting" remains one of the best songs of all time! :alexz:

Tourist History has so many good gems. I still listen to Something Good Can Work and What You Know from time to time. KKB's use of English and Japanese in their songs is amazing.

Amazing discovery. I found Italian Ice sort of a stepdown, but I still liked it too. Japandroids are awesome. I saw them live in 2013. Such a display of energy.

Not much, unfortunately. However, 2014's Intro Bonito and their 2019 EP were really good.

What a great decade that was. What a journey. The 20s look ahead now. The 10s are long gone.

Coming up next, Top 100 LPs of 2020, which technically happen to be that of the 20s for the time being.
