I know she did (maybe even twice?) but I don't remember what it was. I know it wasn't anything terrible, maybe just poorly worded or straight up incorrect. She's pretty harmless overall.

The movie was cute but she ain't all that! Also the beginning or ending brought my score down a bit, I don't remember which one.

I only like it though, not love  I've only played it 6 times. Maybe she shouldn't serve plain, underbaked albums

Brief thoughts: Only found her because Charli XCX tweeted about this EP

- so she's Charli certified, y'all! Also steam her new single thanks.

 

08. Victoria Monét 'JAGUAR'

Ranking: Experience > Jaguar > Dive > Moment > Ass Like That > Get There with You > Touch Me

Brief thoughts: I've seen her name plenty of times but never paid attention until

"Experience" snatched me a bit, and luckily the rest of this project didn't disappoint.

 

07. K/DA 'ALL OUT'

Ranking: DRUM GO DUM > I'LL SHOW YOU > VILLAIN >> MORE > THE BADDEST

Brief thoughts: The first ever K-Pop release to land in my music library! My bottom 2 (aka the singles) could've

gone harder but the other 3 are amazing enough to keep things afloat. Also, the production is pretty incredible.

 

06. Winona Oak 'Closure'

Ranking: Let Me Know > Break My Broken Heart > He Don't Love Me

> Lonely Hearts Club > Control > Another Story

Brief thoughts: A solid debut from Winona, despite the main 3 singles carrying the others a bit.

 

05. King Princess 'Cheap Queen' (Deluxe reissue)

Ranking: Ohio > All Dressed in White > Forget About It > Best Friend > Back of a Cab
Brief thoughts: Glad she was generous enough to add more great tracks to her already great debut  Definitely wasn't expecting it.

 

04. Carlie Hanson 'DestroyDestroyDestroyDestroy'

Ranking: Side Effects > Daze Inn > Stealing All My Friends > Is That a Thing? > Ego > Good Enough > Fires

Brief thoughts: The release strategy was a bit annoying (dropping the "lead" single in Nov 2019 & the EP in Oct 2020)

but Carlie delivered once again, although her first EP was stronger. I assume the next one will also be easy to enjoy.

 

03. Magdalena Bay 'A Little Rhythm and a Wicked Feeling'

Ranking: Story > Killshot > Venice > How to Get Physical > Stop & Go = Good Intentions = Airplane > Oh Hell
Brief thoughts: Full of bops and they have a really nice sound. I enjoyed it so much that I ran

to purchase a shirt (featuring the cover art) after only knowing them for a week or so.

 

02. Troye Sivan 'In a Dream'

Ranking: Take Yourself Home > IN A DREAM > Easy = STUD >> Rager teenager!
Brief thoughts: Some might disagree but Troye has been serving non-stop since the WILD EP (2015) & obviously he has no

signs of slowing down. Another quality release to add to his discography. But I'm ignoring that bonus track "10/10".

 

01. joan 'cloudy'

Ranking: want u back > brokenhearted > love me better > magnetic > cover girl > try again

Brief thoughts: My goodness!!! What a treat! They already did an amazing job at serving an '80s-inspired sound

on portra (2018) but now they continue that while also slightly dipping into the '90s ("try again") and

early/mid '00s ("cover girl"). I'm beyond glad I found them this year so I could be blessed with quality.
