yes ungodly hour yes talent.  shameika was gonna be on my list, but i had a change of heart and chose iwytlm instead which i do not regret.  shameika is great tho you should b proud,.

simmer is great, kinda reminds me of radiohead along w leave it alone.

i agree with your christine pick, miss caroline is a girl of many talents.

IWYTLM almost made it, maybe it would on some other day

Simmer and Leave It Alone are a string duo starting the album, but then the rest of it is quite nothing like them, she fooled us

Ungodly Hour is one of my standouts but I prefer Do It, Forgive Me and Lonely so I'm glad you gave 2 of those a shoutout too :fan:

Shameika is a big bop, it's been kinda stuck in my head recently and I randomly think of the chorus sometimes :-*

New Heights is a gorgist sing :chick3: one of her best ballads. Christine's EP was v cute, Hayleigh sucks ASS tho x

Ddd yeah Shameika is very catchy for a Fiona song, it would be a bit of a hit in those Criminal days when GP was more open minded for alt songs

Erm drag Hayley no SImmer x

Shade is such an interesting top pick for Yukika, but I like it a lot!

La Vita Nuova is flawless. It and People I've Been Sad are interchangeable for me as Xtine's top pick.

Simmer is great and leads perfectly into Leave It Alone, but for me those are more "fancy cheeses before the gourmet entree". Understand why you weren't as into Hayley's album though.

Yeah we owe Shameika a lot. I can't decide if this or another FTBC song is my #1 pick (if you have that as your highest Fiona pick I'll scream), but it's so ****ing flawless and I'm glad it's the one she's pushing for stuff like Grammys, not that she'll get them.

Ungodly Hour title track is EASILY the best from that album. I know people want trap bops by girlies so they can not have to listen to Posty or whatever, but UH is clearly better than Do It and just barely better than Forgive Me.

I think Shade really stands out musically while still fitting the sound of the album, love that

Simmer and Leave it Alone together are a great intro of the album but then it just... becomes a mixture of random songs

Well you're about to see :fan:

I prefer Forgive Me and Tipsy off UH, but as you said its an all around excellent album so no flaws in no matter what you pick tbh.

Exactly, gorgeous record!

Shameika :alexz:

FTBC was also the first Fiona album I listened to lol

Simmer is cute, that might be a little high for it though imo

New Heights is good although not one of my favorites

La vita nuova is great :clap3:

I'm actually surprised Simmer made it this far, but if I was to "merge" it with the grat Caroline remix then its position is fair!

New Heights very underrated I see :fan:

Shameika is a grower. I liked it after a couple of listens! Probably the one I liked the most from the album.

I think it's the most accessible track!

I think this set was very polarizing so you'll be better checking out what you don't know in the next one!

Took me a while to pick an ultimate favorite track from this album, but Heavy Balloon has it all - great lyrics, amazing vocal performance, catchy hook, interesting instrumentation. Not sure why I see it as a stand out so rarely, but Newspaper and I Want You To Love Me fought for this spot too.

Brilliant single from Kylie, Kylie we love and Kylie we missed after her past 2 eras were a huge quality misfit. Insane replay value, beautiful melody, catchy sort of uplifting chorus and sparkly production reminiscent of Katy's Chain to the Rhythm which I also love lots, couldn't ask for more!

Future Nostalgia might be a clear winner in the top 2 race with Jessie for album of the year, but there is one thing What's Your Pleasure does way better - the finale. Both Boys Will Be Boys and Remember Where You Are slow down the pace after fully dynamic streak of bombastic songs to end the records with orchestral outro, but only the latter succeeds and creates stunning nearly 6 minutes long cinematic masterpiece and one of Jessie's most unique songs.

The Blessed Madonna's name is being slandered on this forum left and right ever since the world got to hear her infamous (yet superb) remix of Dua's beloved pop banger Levitating. Little do most know she got another chance to prove herself and she made the most of it. Love Is Religion is definitely one of the best outtakes from Future Nostalgia and this remix elevates it to another flawless dance track.

Not only Taylor's best lead single, but one of her best songs overall. Beautifully written track with a very interesting structure and not really distinguishable chorus which allows the song to infinitely flow. The music video version is even better, cause its extended instrumental outro allows me to appreciate the production just a bit more.

Magic is such a song, miss Kylie did have a disco comeback and slayed! Cardigan is such a song, one of the few sonically on folklore I appreciate.

and cardigan one of her best songs? agree, everything about it is perfect

I wasn't expecting LIR out of all Dua's songs released this year to make its way into your top 15! Great choice though, TBM elevated it and made it even better. Poor ATRLers failing to recognize CFN's potential, their loss, I guess!

Interesting that you think cardigan is her best lead single, it's my last place by far :matty: The song is just alright, it never connected with me. Love Is Religion is one of the few songs I didn't delete from CFN  A fun one. Remember Where You Are, a lovely ending to WYP? :smitten:

its *really*hard to pick a FTBC pick, but i think heavy balloon is a good choice, overall your top songs from it are similar to mine.

the rest of the update is good.  its nice to see remember where you are get so much love, and cardigan is good, in spite of some people saying its only praised cuz its a single.

yes! someone finally picks heavy balloon :jonny5:

magic is flawless!

rwya is my least fave song on wyp :skull:

love is religion + cardigan

Oh Heavy Balloon is not my #1/#2 Fiona track but it's AMAZING. Maybe even one of my favorite choruses on that album... that basically has no choruses.

Magic is alright! Not my favorite from the album but I mean, it's disco fun. What's not to love?

Yeah Remember Where You Are is a career highlight for Jessie and will remain that way. The perfect "you've left the club at 5am and the sun is starting to peek above the horizon, so it's time to catch an uber home and contemplate life" song. Ahh my ****ing fave.

Love Is Religion remix is flawless. I haven't heard the original but I kinda don't want to and don't want it to ever get released because I like this remix so much?

Shartigan is my least fave from Folklore xo but I can see why people like it, I guess!

Heavy Balloon is fantastic YUP :clap3:

cardigan is great but also bottom half for me on the album :-* Love Is Religion is indeed v cute unlike the rest of that album :fan:

I might think Remember Where You Are is a little overrated but the insult to compare it to Boys Will Be Boys :keir:

Heavy Balloon one of the best on FTBC :clap3: Magic one of the biggest bops on the album :clap3:

Great update!! And I'm totally here for the Love Is Religion love, it almost ended up on my list too.
