Not a fan of K-Pop and I can't get into A*a but I'll be checking for the other 2 lists :gaycat6:

NGL I expected a MAGO #1 but Red Velvet had the serve I suppose.

Lemme cosign that Ava Max post earlier, though! :gaycat6:

I'm gonna post some Honorable Mentions (albums and songs, in no order) so I can get them out of the way

BP gowns... hello 2012

Criminal :clap3:

Star absolutely deserved to be a title, they are so dumb for not jumping on the retro trend like every other group right away kii! At least we got great videos later and they are actually promoting it in the US :jonny2:

Surprised to see MAGO so high! I liked it, a lot by the production, but I thought the melody wasn't really catchy, still a good song

Psycho deserving winner, Red Shelved won't back down :clap3: Your nickname surely got an upgrade when this classic came out :fan:

Nnn I knew you wouldn't like to see BP in top 5

MAGO amazing

The absolute excellence of this list. Mago is immaculate and Psycho really is that bitch. Love to see kingie Taemin getting the love he deserves too.

Spill their 3 best songs.

yasss the immaculate taste, too sad psycho era felt so weird without wendy as i feel like it would've done better if wendy didn't have the accident at inkigayo, but overall this top ranking is amazing, the only thing i have to disagree with is HYLT being noisy but everyone has their opinions so they're valid every way. anyway oomf spilled

ALBUMS

qjzosvg.png

Allie X - Cape God
(Favorites: Rings A Bell, Susie Save Your Love, Sarah Come Home)

This album was cute for a few days but kind of disappointing. The singles had to grow on me and the album tracks weren't up to par. It's not bad necessarily, but her weakest project for me.

Chloe x Halle - Ungodly Hour
(Favorites: Ungodly Hour, Do It, Forgive Me)

I don't listen to a lot of R&B but this is a very solid album and they are very talented!

Dagny - Strangers / Lovers
(Favorites: Come Over, Somebody, Let Me Cry)

Solid synth-pop record, but lacks personality (yes, I stan Ava Max)

Ellie Goulding - Brightest Blue
(Favorites: Power, Flux, Brightest Blue)
I was pleasantly surprised by this album based on the singles, although I didn't use the full album much as it has too many interludes and midtempos.

Empress Of - I'm Your Empress Of
(Favorites: Give Me Another Chance, Love Is A Drug, Bit Of Rain)
This album is consistently good, I didn't use it as much as the albums in my top 10 but it's a gem. The fact that she co-produced all the songs is impressive.

Katy Perry - Smile
(Favorites: Never Really Over, Teary Eyes, Cry About It Later)
I'm a Katy defender and while I loved this album for a few weeks, it is starting to age. Daisies and Smile are some of her weakest singles ever. The album's still not as bad as people make it out to be though..

Kesha - High Road
(Favorites: Resentment, Summer, High Road)
Similar situation to Katy, although this album aged more.

Lady Gaga - Chromatica
(Favorites: Babylon, Stupid Love, Rain On Me)
I should love this album because it's very pop, but I don't. It has too many dated EDM drops and not enough real choruses. Not as bad as Joanne, I guess.

Selena Gomez - Rare
(Favorites: Look At Her Now, Souvenir, Dance Again)
While the album actually isn't bad, it simply aged and isn't my favorite.

Tame Impala - The Slow Rush
(Favorites: Borderline, Lost In Yesterday, Breathe Deeper)
This was a step down from Currents obviously, but I enjoyed it when it came out and it has some solid singles. He's too much of a perfectionist and that showed on this album.

Lovesick Girls too high [2]

Dumhdurum, Apple and La Di Da absolutely stunning, ICSM and Lalala also cute enough but

Top 3 kinda iconic but in reverse order :1stplace: love all of them tho, Criminal also a big bop

Ellie, CxH and Tame deserved better, Fad and Keshit shouldn't have made the list :-*

we finally moved on from the worst genre ever

smile and chromatica deserved more than HM

How Deep Is TOo Deep is cute, Daises, 911, wtf do i know too

Posted

Kinda scared of what you picked for your top 10 after seeing Ungodly Hour and Brightest Blue were deemed honorable... Red Shelved definitely deserved that #1, but I'm very surprised to see TWICE only coming in at 8. I see a lot of great choices overall in your top 30, though!

Brightest Blue you picked great highlights :clap3:

I liked The Slow Rush, but I can understand the criticisms

Idk why I even bothered with Kesha's album tbh :rip: I use like 3 songs and that's it

Chromatica I had high hopes after ROM, but...

Friends in the Corner is amazing

HDITD and Los Angeles could've been included too, but I trust those artists have more songs coming

Posted

Not so many of my favorite albums and songs only being in your honorable mentions :deadbanana2:

Brightest Blue :flame: Chromatica :gaygacat1:

How Deep Is Too Deep, Fever, Daisies, 911, WTF Do I know, Dance Again, I'm Coming :gaygacat5::gaygacat5:

Daisies + 911 :jamming:

Posted

nnnn not some of my favorite musical moments this year got only HMs here :jonny2:

Chromatica and Ungodly Hour :heart2:

High Road was a bit of messy, but it's a guilty pleasure for me :fan:

Friends in the Corner is her best droplet this year :clap3:

Forgive Me :smitten:

Los Angeles is probably my favorite album opening of this year

I'm Coming is pop perfection :jonny: I kinda hate the mixing of the song tho

F This World :alexz:

Posted

i agree with most of these. but WTF in honourable mentions:dancehall3:

also everyone's trashing smile when it's one of my faves (including the song)

Posted
