I mean Bree Runway has no genre filter so I fear she's coming for everyone eventually. Best compare her to fellow collaborator Rina Sawayama who is also primarily pop but touches into various different genres On 12/15/2020 at 9:19 AM, Blue Rose said: The #2 song, maybe you snapped I need to get into Bree more (only heard a couple of her songs) Yes you should! my favourite artist I discovered this year and her drive is >>>> 14 hours ago, Ewan Chaos said: Little Nokia is good! Alex Posted December 16, 2020 Author Posted December 16, 2020 Quote Flo Milli's debut mixtape is a great introduction to the upcoming female rapper who previously was categorized with the rest of the TikTok artists but this mixtape definitely proved that she's here to stay and hopefully grow into a future force to be reckoned with. Quote JoJo's fourth studio album was severely underrated and even I can admit I took months where I didn't listen to the album but after coming back to it this fall, It still holds up. Few duds and all anthems, we finally got a Tinashe collaboration and I personally feel this album is stronger than Mad Love. Quote Charli XCX's "how i'm feeling now" aged sort of terribly for me. I only use half of the album and I think it was good and is going to be an album that was set in that initial quarantine phase of the year. Unfortunately I don't use most of it anymore but there's still gems in the album. Quote "After Hours" is a terrific album and a massive follow up to "Starboy", which I also enjoyed. I feel as this album is a natural progression for Abel and despite the Grammy snubs he still ended up with THE biggest song of the year so he still won. Also he released one of Doja Cat's best verses with "In Your Eyes", so still thanking him for that, too bad it wasn't promoted! Quote Jessie Reyez's album was released earlier in the year and has been heavily forgotten and unpromoted unfortunately which is an absolute shame because this is her best work ever! Not too reliant on her screechy voice and her lyricism is extremely underrated. One of the best R&B/Pop albums of the year for sure.
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 16, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted December 16, 2020 wow, yuour graphics for the albums are gorgeous. i like that its 'projects' so you can group mixtapes/eps/lps together. anyyway hifn and flo milli are def my fave here. i agree that flo has room to grow but i loved what she gave me. and hifn did not age as bad for me lol
BlackoutZone Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Oh wow didn't expect that high pick from Raye, but it's an amazing song Good to know obviously amazing and though I don't come back to the deluxe tracks as much I'm happy we finally got a good Tinashe collab
TheWayWeWere Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 THE TASTE GTK and How I'm Feeling Now (I'll pretend I never read HIFN drags tho ) After Hours
Kevin2803 Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 I love JoJo's album kinda expected more from the Tinashe collab tho After Hours
Mark Rih Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Quote I feel as this album is a natural progression for Abel and despite the Grammy snubs he still ended up with THE biggest song of the year so he still won Period. Also Love Of Your Life being your #2 song amazing pick
1998tweety Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 I hadn't heard either of your top 2 song, def gonna have to check them out. Flo Milli slapped, excited to see what her career blossoms into in the future.
KasioKas Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Good To Know is DEFINITELY stronger than Mad Love, no arguement.
dreamofyou Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 HIFN has some great songs, but did kinda age... let's hope the janet album serves in 2021
Ava Max Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Little Nokia Bree released much better songs this year tho
Enigmanotta Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 (edited) Good To Know was a massive disappointment for me this year, I couldn't find myself to enjoy it as much as I would've loved to. HIFN and After Hours are great choices. Not you putting Little Nokia above LOYL though... Edited December 17, 2020 by Enigmanotta
Ewan Chaos Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Not you lowkey hating HIFN and still putting it on your list nnn Yeah Abel finally struck gold with After Hours huh. I hope he doesn't fall into Starboy/the previous album territory where half of the album only is good.
