I don’t know why some of y’all are mad that people are celebrating Christmas right now. It’s literally after Thanksgiving. When do you expect people to start celebrating? December 24th? :rip:

Anyways I started listening to Christmas music as soon as it turned November 1st. :foxaylove2:

I alsl think people started celebrating and decorating for Christmas earlier cause of quarantine. People are home and just want something to change their mood

My favorite time of year :jonny5:

We love to see Christmas music slaying like this :clap3: It does really feel like people are starting to listen to Christmas music earlier with every year.

I never understand the appeal of Last Christmas. It's depressing af, why do people keep listening to it when Christmas is supposed to be fun and joyous? :biblio:

I hate Xmas music. I can’t believe people listen to it willingly, let alone a month before the holiday :toofunny3:

Yearly no.1 cancelled and yeah I think she over did it last year :deadbanana4:

glad she's focusing on Oh Santa this year instead.

Yeah, no. Mariah went #1 weeks before any promo or bundles took effect last year. I compared weeks to last year in the chart thread and Mariah’s overall point lead over Brenda is actually increasing slightly from last year.

Mariah vs Brenda

Spotify USA:

#2 - Mariah

#3 - Brenda

Apple Music USA:

#20 - Mariah

#110 - Brenda

Youtube USA:

#7 - Mariah

n/a - Brenda

Itunes USA:

#3 - Brenda (discounted)

#6 - Mariah

The streaming gap with APPLE Music and YT factored in, must be gigantic.

i don't get these ppl listening to xmas so early. I feel like stores anticipated xmas season to boost sales while they have already put xmas songs in power rotation bc there's no other explanation

well it was #8 US Spotify last Xmas day and still didn't chart.

Nice to see Underneath the Tree hit a new high though; it was #25 last Xmas and in the teens now.

What’s your point?

Only reason being It lacks radio play. As the best performing original Xmas song to be released this century it's definitely a classic. STM charts in the top 15 of most other countries every year so Billboard's new Global 200 will be interesting to look at this year.

Can a charts person help me with something?
i just don’t know where to ask :rip:

When they say an album had 96k TEA in its debut week how many pure album track sales would that be?

Every ten pure sales from the tracks of an album is equivalent to 1 TEA. 96k TEA means 960 thousand pure copies sold of tracks.
