Kylie’s 15th studio album debuts at the top with 55,000 chart salesthe biggest opening week of 2020 so far. DISCO is the star’s eighth UK Number 1 album and Kylie’s biggest opening week in 10 years, since 2010’s Aphrodite. This week's result means Kylie sets a new Official Chart record, becoming the first female artist to score a Number 1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart in five consecutive decades - in the ‘80s, ‘90s, ‘00s, ‘10s and ‘20s.

Kylie’s DISCO was the best-seller of the week both physically and on digital downloads, plus also claims one of the fastest-selling vinyl albums of the year, with 13,500 copies sold on wax. An eighth Number 1 means Kylie also now surpasses the likes of Sir Elton John, Sir Cliff Richard and George Michael in the all-time league of acts with the most UK Number 1 albums.

It means Little Mix, who have been locked in a nail-bitingly close battle with Kylie all week, finish at Number 2 with their sixth album Confetti. The group claim the most-streamed album of the week and their sixth consecutive Top 5 collection.

Ariana Grande holds Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart for a third week with Positions

Ariana Grande holds on to the UK Number 1 single for a third week with Positions. The lead single from her chart-topping album of the same name continues its reign at Number 1 after clocking up over 44,000 chart sales including 5.4 million streams. Also from Positions, POV is this week’s highest new entry at Number 22, becoming Ariana’s 29th Top 40 track.

Following the release of their sixth album Confetti, Little Mix scoop two Top 40 singles this week; Sweet Melody flies nine places to a new peak of Number 3, and the album’s title track Confetti is at Number 23, their 27th Top 40 hit.

Miley Cyrus’s Midnight Sky rises back to its previous peak of Number 5, following the release of a remix featuring Stevie Nicks... Further down, Dua Lipa’s Levitating becomes her tenth Top 10 single, rising three to Number 10. The song has enjoyed a recent rise following a remix of the track featuring DaBaby.

Congratulations to Little Mix too; Confetti's a brilliant album from what I've heard of it.

Finally - a single that seems to be sticking. So happy to see Sweet Melody climb so many spots.

Confetti and Disco are GREAT records, the girls really came through. Happy for all parties.
