Can Austin Mahone call himself a musician now?

Yes, in Japan, the only country his album was released in.

"MMM Yeah" is a bop, though. Glad it got certified.

Isn't he like an aspiring model/future OF content creator?

That isn’t music. The dial-up internet connection sounds from the 90s AOL is more musical.

my friend from Japan told me he was like the biggest western artist over there for a few months when one of his songs went viral or something.

His label and management was horrible from day 1. He could have been huge, but they ruined it. He's talented and has bops.

Remember when he won the VMA Best New Artist over Iggy, Zedd, The Weeknd & Twenty One Pilots

I've been saying this for AGES.... but his lane was definitely Millennium Nostalgia.

He should've gone for the heyday of NSYNC, BSB, and TRL in his sound.

What About Us is probably the only record that seemed unique to him.

Dirty Work was definitely Nick Jonas:

And Better With You, while mature (trendy tropical-pop) and breezy, was very Justin Bieber & Charlie Puth.

Go through his videography, and you'll also find Jesse McCartney, Shawn Mendes, Bazzi, and Cody Simpson. Really sad.

This post is SO SPOT ON. You're absolutely right.

Austin is soo good looking and obviously talented. Unfortunately, he just didn't have the right team and his time has passed.

More like a glorified "model". He should just make the jump to OF

He came out in the wrong time, JB and 1D were already occupying the pretty pop boy niche
